1 Step Back Then 3 Steps Forward

Facing rejection is part of life. For me, I believe I handle rejection very well. I'm someone that has probably been rejected countless times in life. The number one example that I can recall off the top of my head is probably the time when I was searching for a job after graduating high school. I remember getting kicked out of the house to go around and look for a job and well it was tough. I applied to many different places but most places seemed to want someone that had experience before. For these, I indirectly got rejected since I wasn't even able to make it to the interview stage. Eventually through some luck and perseverance, I was able to land my first job at a grocery store.

I don't believe it's a bad thing to get rejected. It helps us to improve for next time as long as we can reflect and look back on the rejection. It can turn into motivation by giving us the feeling of proving people wrong about the rejection / making them regret it.

Overtime, I feel that rejection has shaped my life positively. I don't think life was meant to be easy and there should always be ways to improve ourselves. Rejections give us some time to take a pause and think of what could have been different. It makes us question ourselves like why didn't we get accepted or how to not let it happen again. Of course these work on a case by case basis. Sometimes it's truly out of our control like if I tried to ask a girl out on a date and they said no; then it might be a sign they may not be interested. In a case like this, I should find a different girl that I like who would also be interested in that date.

I hope what I wrote today made sense. Today also marks the last day of Chinese New Year. I had a great Chinese New Year and I wish everyone a great year of health and wealth. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Throwback to an event I had on Thursday at KLGCCC, a beautiful country golf club. You can see that they have decorated for Chinese New Year with the lanterns.

Yes, it is the difficulties I was talking about in my post that make us grow. And it's good that you have this way of thinking. We can't please everyone, and even if one door closes, better ones open.

;)

yes facing rejection is a difficulty . i guess it also related to that aspect of your post even tho our topics were different. Thank you, i feel and hope most people think of rejection like this but it may not be the case.

That is correct it's impossible to please everyone and we shouldn't be pleasing everyone anyways only those that matter to us i think. There's lots of doors and paths to take can't say it's the best but it's still going forward hopefully
