Ya it's a picture of food but this post will be about music. Photo is for fun because the singer's name is fish

Yesterday, I played pickleball at 91 pickleball club. Suddenly, there were too many people that showed up so it was kind of disappointing since I had to play one and sit out one-two matches after. It's all good though; there will be a cap next time that will be enforced for future sessions. Anyways, it's Tuesday and as usual I will be sharing my three songs for three tune Tuesday. Wednesday is also the last day of Chinese New Year so I will share three more Chinese songs for this week and change it up next week.

I want to share three songs from Fish Leong this week. She's well known among Chinese and sold over 20 million records to date according to Wikipedia. Something awesome to note is that she's from Malaysia so way to represent my country. Most of her songs are either love songs or emo love songs so just a warning for you before you listen to the songs.

#1. 慢冷 - 梁靜茹 Fish Leong

I'm starting off emo with the first song. The song is interesting because it uses cold and hot to describe a relationship. In relationships, sometimes there's one person that warms up very fast and later becomes cold (loses interest). Then in that same relationship there is someone that starts cold and takes time to warm up but when they warm up, they are boiling. They are all in and invested into the relationship but by the time they are boiled up the person that caught feelings fast lost their feelings as fast. Then the relationship doesn't work out and that's what this song is sharing. It's sharing the scenario where there's one that catches and loses feelings fast with someone that takes time to fall in love.

#2. 可惜不是你 Unfortunately Not You - 梁靜茹 Fish Leong

This is another emo song by her and it's her most famous song. The song is about a relationship that didn't work out. The person is sad that the person wasn't the one that stayed with them at the end. At the same time, they were happy that the person was the one who they spent their relationship with because it could've been with someone worse.

#3. 没有如果 There Is No If - 梁靜茹 Fish Leong

I saved my favorite song by her for last. I like the cover by Zhao Rang a bit more than the original. This song is not as emo but somewhere in between emo and happy. I like the melody of the song as well as the simplicity in the lyrics. I believe the song is about being brave and not hesitating. If you like someone, just go for it because there is "no if" in liking someone. It's either you like them or not. The person in the song wants the person to seize the opportunity to start a relationship with them hence in the lyrics it mentions "hold my hand now". In Chinese culture, when people mention about holding hands, it's usually about being in a relationship.

Thank You

If you made it to the end, thank you so much for reading and listening. How do you feel about Fish Leong? Do you like her songs? She is still singing and doing concerts! Way to go Malaysia!

Please don't be afraid to share your three songs every Tuesday! Share the music share the love.
