Stranded
In the midst of nowhere, I found myself astray,
Under a full moon's glow, lost in dismay.
Stranded and forsaken, with no way to go,
My journey to work halted, the frigid winds blow.
The gas tank betrayed me, empty as can be,
And the bitter cold pierced through relentlessly.
Frostbite danced on my fingertips, cruel and unkind,
As I sought refuge from the frozen grind.
But in this desolate expanse, a hope arose,
A faint glimmer of light, like a beacon that shows.
With determined steps, I treaded through the night,
To find a gas station, a refuge in sight.
Miles I walked, my breath escaping in white,
Guided by the moon, my companion in this plight.
Through snow-covered fields, and forests so grand,
I pressed on, fueled by resilience, hand in hand.
Finally, a distant glow emerged from the dark,
A haven in the wilderness, like a fiery spark.
Sighs of relief escaped, as I reached the station,
A sanctuary from the cold, a sweet salvation.
With empty water bottles, I filled them with care,
Gasoline glistening, a precious liquid to bear.
A makeshift solution, but it would suffice,
To get me back on the road, to warm my icy vice.
As I poured the fuel, hope filled my heart,
For in adversity, we find strength to restart.
With gratitude, I thanked the moon above,
For guiding me with its light, with unwavering love.
Though challenges may freeze us, in life's harsh embrace,
We endure, we persevere, with relentless grace.
The road may be treacherous, the journey long,
But with determination, we find where we belong.
So, let this tale remind you, when you're in despair,
That even in darkness, a flicker is always there.
For the moon will guide, and the stars will ignite,
And you'll find your way, through the coldest of nights.
A poem written about my attempt to make it to work by ai,
I still haven't made it to work
