Books, Busy Days, and a Little Bit of Me Time

I know, I know, it’s been ages since I posted here. Honestly, I’m not sure how time slipped away so fast. One moment I was thinking about all the books I wanted to share, and the next minute… life just took over. The office got busier, I started picking up new things, and before I knew it, I just didn’t have the time I thought I would.

Truth is, I’ve missed this space. I’ve missed connecting with you all, sharing the books that I can’t put down, and talking about the little things that make life so interesting. But, for a while, I needed to focus. Work really took me by surprise. What started as a couple of late nights here and there soon became weeks of barely having time to relax, let alone dive into a good book.

I kept telling myself, “Next weekend, I’ll catch up, I promise.”
But weekends? They have a funny way of filling up faster than I ever expect. A coffee with friends here, a birthday party there, a spontaneous trip to a bookstore that turned into hours of browsing… and before I knew it, the days just slipped away.

In the middle of all that chaos, I realized something. I don’t love books just because of the stories. I love them because they’re a reminder to slow down. They give me a reason to pause, to take a deep breath, and just escape for a while. And, if I’m honest, I didn’t realize how much I needed that until I wasn’t making time for it.

So, I’ve been trying to make some small changes. Nothing huge, just taking better care of myself in little ways. Like stepping out for a coffee, not because I have to, but because I want to. Or going for walks, without any rush, just to enjoy the fresh air. I’ve even been trying to dress up more, for no reason at all. There’s something about slipping into a soft, flowy dress that just makes me feel good.

And honestly? It’s been helping. Slowly but surely, I’m getting back to the little things that make me feel like me. A good book in my bag. A quiet walk on a sunny afternoon. The simple joys that used to feel small, but now seem much bigger.

I can’t promise that I’ll be posting here all the time, but I can promise I’m back, ready to share more, ready to dive back into the little moments that matter. Work is still busy, and life is still a whirlwind, but I’m learning how to carve out those small pockets of happiness, just for me.

So, if you’re reading this, thank you for sticking around. I’m looking forward to sharing more soon, the books I can’t stop reading, the small adventures I’m slowly finding, and everything in between.

And speaking of books, I’m currently reading The Midnight Library, it’s been such a comforting companion lately. I’ll be sure to share my thoughts on it soon!
