Self-Doubt — A Poem

Self-doubt
The destroyer of our dreams.
A mental obstacle
That creates roadblocks that don’t exist
That paralyses
Causing frustration and angst.
Leaving us feeling burdened, weighted and exhausted.

Self-Doubt is a self-created emotion
Creating a prison
Cutting off our wings
Destroying our dreams and hopes.
Shackling us.
Frustrating us
Leaving us hopeless
Angry at the world
Blaming ourselves and innocent bystanders
Self-doubt is a self-created prison

Self-Doubt is easily solved.
A simple baby step
Towards our dream
Daily for five minutes
Increases to twenty minutes
Taking action
Creating a habit
Rewiring doubt to motivation
Passion
Undoing the paralysis
Mental and Physical
Freedom found
Through the magic of baby steps.

Nothing clears doubt like taking action.. The path ahead may not be clear, but action makes all the pieces fall into place

Action has a way of dispelling uncertainty and revealing the next steps. Great reminder to just get moving.

Every little step we make towards achieving those goals counts and leads us closer, it doesn't matter at what pace we are going as long as we are making progress. Most times the most difficult step is the first step, and until we're ready to make that step, we'll continue doubting our potentials burying those ideas and virtues that could simply blossom and change our world...

Taking that first step can be the hardest, but it's often the catalyst for amazing things to happen.
