Ah, Liverpool, one of my favourite cities! I worked for about six years in Slater Street, off Bold Street. Our building has been turned, quite successfully from the video I saw, into a bar! Lots to see and do, and the people are fabulous. Would recommend the collection in the Walker Art Gallery, especially the Pre-Raphaelites (Liverpool was a great supporter of them), and the museums along the riverfront.
My friend was telling me about the building of the railway north to Southport: one landowner didn't want it going through his land so the train station is a mile outside the town centre; another wanted a convenient local stop and asked how many houses were required to get a station and then went and built them!

I think a second trip to Liverpool is in order! I had two days, they were not planned, so I didn’t even have an overnight bag… Not even a toothbrush!
Next time I come, I would love to have someone with me who knows Liverpool! Hint, hint, hint! 😆
But even if it’s elsewhere in the UK, I like that idea that we’re cooking up about meeting somewhere for lunch. Let’s do it after late January when I am back from the US.
I need to take in an additional couple of weeks in Boston of occupational therapy for my hand before concert season starts again.
It's not like they haven't got any shops 😂
