RE: Hazy Afternoons and Memories of Violent Weather

A few years back, South Texas, we had a storm pass over our neighborhood that managed to tear up some roofs and stripped off all the leaves on the trees. It looked strange for a while with the naked trees. There was disagreement whether it was caused by tornado or straight line winds.
Hurricane season will start soon. From experience, we stock up on non-perishables and keep batteries charged. If necessary, we also have a portable generator that runs on propane, which we have had to use to keep the refrigerator running so our food won't spoil. I even went and got an amateur radio license. Disaster prep is so normal around here.
