Today I'm not here to talk about just anything; today I'm going to talk about an anime masterpiece that, if it's not on your list, you absolutely must add NOW. I'm referring, of course, to Vinland Saga.
To be honest: when I first heard it was a "Viking anime," all I could think about was tons of action, blood, and epic battles. And yes, it has all of that. But what truly captivated me and left me pondering after every episode was its profound philosophical depth and the amazing character development.
The Synopsis with a Taste of Ice and Revenge (My Personal Journey)
The story begins in frigid Iceland, introducing us to Thorfinn, a boy with a happy and peaceful childhood. His father is Thors, a legendary warrior who chose to leave violence behind. But you know how it is, fate is a cruel beast, and Thorfinn's peace is shattered when his father is ambushed, courtesy of the cunning mercenary Askeladd.
This is where I felt a lump in my throat. Young Thorfinn witnesses everything, and his life takes a brutal turn. Gone is the boy who dreamed of the mythical land of Vinland; now he is a soul consumed by a single driving force: revenge.
My Great Discovery: The Lesson of the Blade
Thorfinn ends up joining Askeladd's group, experiencing the brutality of the battlefield, killing and suffering, all to earn the right to a fair duel against the man who stole his world.
What we witness is not just any war; It's a stark portrayal of how hatred and a thirst for revenge can mold (and, let's be honest, destroy) a boy's soul.

He visto el título por ahí, pero la verdad no me había molestado en ver el tráiler o investigar su trama; ahora, al saber que tiene que ver con vikingos, venganza, redención y más, me hace verla de forma atractiva. Por eso amo leer reseñas; e esta comunidad siempre se descubren joyas interesantes.
