THE LESSONS I PICKED FROM HER CALL.
The world is getting more competitive and only the wise can survive. The year 2023 is gone and another year is here moving without a pause for anyone. Having spent few days already, I feel strengthen and hopeful. A call I received from my friend during December kept ringing in my ears, we spoke on the ways some women are suffering and helpless and she encourage me to do all to ensure that I can stand on my own come what may. "Hard work don't kill, Hard work saves from killers" were her words and she triggered in me the need for skills and empowerment as a lady. Economic data about this year are things that could shake someone if you are not strong. But, in all of these I have decided to use the year effectively. So I tagged the year "my year of technological growth".
Alot of changes are happening technologically and tech skills are as important as food now. To survive in this our century you must be technically savvy. My love for data analysis and all about data existed since my undergraduate but finance has been the major limiting factor. This year I will be learning data analytics hoping to become a data analyst. I have started making enquires on where I can enrol for it in my locality although I haven't gotten any yet, I will search further. If I am unable to get a learning centre I will learn virtually. It is a goal I am more keen on achieving this year. There are other tech skills that are in high demand apart from Data analytics, they are: Digital marketing, Data science,UX design, software development, networking and so on.
The important lessons I picked from the call I had with my friend last year is try to move with the trends, don't be rigid, pick up a skill and learn , the world needs you to feel up the spaces, celebrate where you are presently but don't be satisfied with little achievements, dare for more and avoid anyone and anything that drains you.

Gone are the days when ladies are abused, relegated and valueless. The beauty of a woman lies in the value she is adding. It is important to note that the tech space is not only meant for men, women are useful there too. Tech skills can help you secure a remote jobs which can be a side hustle. All you need is a laptop and good internet connection.
This post is to encourage women to acquire more skills this year, yours might not be tech skills like mine, you can choose a skill that suits you better and learn. Learning is never enough we must keep learning. Think of adding values to yourself and increasing your financial base.
Welcome once again to a new year.
These are some profound points!
Happy Weekend;)
