Meet Our Aquarium Jewels – How Koi Fish Turned From a Lucky Tale to the Heartbeat of Our Home

Greetings my friends here in the hive! 😄 So those koi fish we have in our home aquarium? Yeah i was not really buying into the whole “they bring good luck” thing at first honestly thought it was just some old myth.,

But then all my relatives and friends kept talking about how koi are supposed to bring prosperity and happiness to a home so i was like… why not give it a try? Now they are basically part of the family!

Look at those photos their colors are CRAZY good! Bright whites fiery reds, sunny yellows… all mixed together like little living rainbows swimming around.

I will literally just plop down next to the tank for ages watching them glide around, playfully nudging each other moving in this super peaceful flow.

It’s so relaxing exactly what i need after a long day when my head feels like it’s spinning from work or all the stuff i have got to do around the house.

Taking care of them is not as simple as i thought though! We have got to keep the water clean every single day make sure the temperature’s spot on and we can’t feed them too much or too little either.

There was this one time one of them was looking all slow and out of it we were FREAKING OUT! But with some extra care and figuring out what was wrong we got him back to bouncing around like normal.

The cool thing is though all the work actually brings us closer as a family we split up the chores clean the tank together and even joke about which koi is the “leader” of the bunch.

Now i don’t even really think about the luck part anymore. They are just… our fish you know? They make the whole house feel cozier and more alive. Every time they swim past the glass it’s like a little nudge to slow down and appreciate the small stuff in life.
You wanna know what we actually feed them or how we keep the water from getting all murky? I have learned some pretty cool tricks so far!
