Hola colegas ¿cómo están? El fin de semana pasado estuve en un evento de anime muy grande en zona sur de Buenos Aires.
Hubiera sido genial poder traer una buena reseña del evento pero las cosas no salieron como lo había planeado.
Fui con el team de los Caballeros del Zodiaco usando la armadura de Camus de Acuario para acompañar y alentar a uno de los chicos que iba a participar del concurso de cosplay con una nueva armadura que hizo del Caballero de Ophiuco, de verdad impresionantes los detalles y lo gigante que es.

Hello colleagues, how are you? Last weekend I was at a huge anime event in the southern zone of Buenos Aires. It would have been great to bring a good review of the event, but things didn't go as planned. I went with the Saint Seiya team wearing the Camus of Aquarius armor to support and encourage one of the guys who was going to participate in the cosplay contest with a new armor he made of the Ophiuchus Knight. The details were truly impressive, and it's huge.

La cuestión fue que donde nos quedábamos parados venía una avalancha de gente a sacarse fotos. Lo que es muy divertido, no me quejo en absoluto, he ido de cosplay a varios eventos, trabajar en stands, a bailar y suelen pedirte fotos pero esto fue otro nivel, no sabías a donde mirar, las personas hacían filas muy ordenadas y respetuosas.
Fueron mas de 85 participantes en el concurso. Una legión de cosplayers, creo que había mas participantes que público.
Era la primera vez que llevaba una armadura y los otros compañeros del team me felicitaron por lo bien que me banqué la situación, parece que es algo bastante pesado o incómodo de llevar pero la verdad creo que la emoción ayudó muchísimo y me sentí muy cómoda con la armadura puesta, hasta podía arrodillarme cosa que otros caballeros no pueden, si fue difícil caminar entre la gente con las hombreras y la capa, ahora entiendo porque solo se quedaban en los santuarios jaja

The thing is, where we were standing, a wave of people came to take photos. Which is really fun, I don't complain at all, I've gone to several events as a cosplayer, worked at stands, danced, and people usually ask for photos, but this was another level. You didn't know where to look, people made very orderly and respectful lines. There were over 85 participants in the contest. A legion of cosplayers, I think there were more participants than spectators. It was the first time I wore armor, and my teammates congratulated me on how well I handled the situation. It seems it's quite heavy or uncomfortable to wear, but I think the excitement really helped, and I felt very comfortable with the armor on. I could even kneel down, which some knights can't do. Walking through the crowd with the shoulder pads and cape was difficult, now I understand why they only stayed in the sanctuaries haha.

Me divirtió muchísimo hacer posar a los niños y niñas que se acercaban en forma de guerreros, eso hace las fotos mas divertidas y les da un plus en el recuerdo. Hay que perder la vergüenza de hacer el ridículo en nombre de la diversión, ahora me estoy haciendo con un amigo la armadura de Shaina de Ofiuco. Es el primer cosplay que se me ocurrió hacer y finalmente voy a llevarlo a cabo.

I had a blast making kids pose like warriors, it makes the photos more fun and gives them a special memory. You have to lose the shame of looking ridiculous in the name of fun. Now I'm working on making the Shaina of Ophiuchus armor with a friend. It's the first cosplay I thought of doing, and finally, I'm going to do it.

Algunas de las piezas se hicieron muy rápidamente para ese evento porque la chica que lleva esa armadura no pudo venir, estaba recuperándose de una intervención quirúrgica. Y yo la llevé en su lugar. Partes como los protectores de zapatos y brazos son las nuevas piezas hechas a toda prisa

Some of the pieces were made really quickly for that event because the girl who wears that armour couldn't come, she was recovering from a surgical procedure. And I wore it instead. Parts like the shoe covers and arm guards are the new pieces made in a rush
