Vintage Silver Highlights - South East Refining Coronet Eagle Round

I am back with another hard to find vintage silver round from the early '80s. This one is from Southeast refining that was based out of Panama City Florida. They only have a few products produced, they had a couple of rounds and bars and there was a couple of versions, one having a soaring eagle and the other having a Coronet eagle. It looks like I have already shared my soaring eagle version, and there's also a post from @silverd510. I didn't see anyone else share this version from Southeast refining.

Not much else is known about the mint. I'm not sure if I have one of the bars or not, I know at one point I had one but I may have sold it, traded it, or given it away in the past 5 or 6 years. I do know that I vividly remember having a Southeast refining bar, but may have tried to profit and buy more ounces with it.

Obverse

Taking a closer look at the actual round, this one appears to have a Coronet version of the eagle that is very similar to the gold coins. It probably States Southeast refining Incorporated around the top and has an overall decent design. It unfortunately does not appear to have a date but it at least has a mint identified. I will say of all the versions I feel like this one is a little simplistic, the detail on the eagle is certainly less than the past few that I've looked at but overall it's still pretty solid

Reverse

The reverse is an interesting take a set of scales. This scale is actually empty, where most of the trade units we've been taking a look at where actually full and balance between product and weights. The interesting part on this round is instead of a year that this was minted, they put the initials ser, for Southeast refining and P C FLA for Panama City florida. I'm not sure why they felt the need to call out the physical location as well as the mint initials again on the reverse but it's not bad. It was minted in 999 fine silver and has the same dotted edge around the strike.

While the design is not one of my favorites, the fact that these are so scarce makes them move up my list. I haven't come across any of these in a long long time, so I certainly got lucky to snag these when I did. There's no indication of how many were minted, but I'm sure not many have survived over the years. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else has one of these.
