Collection Highlights -

I am back with my second year from this series of the Liberty Bell rounds. I unfortunately only have two of the years, but I wish I had many more. As it stands I only have 1982 and 1984 from A-Mark

A-Mark is a full service specialist metal company that has grown into an official distributor for many government mints throughout the world including the Royal Canadian mint, South African mint, Australian permit, and an authorized purchaser for the US mint. It began making the liberty pure medallion round in 1982. I'd like it because it features the eagle with arrows and talents surrounded by 13 stars. It is very patriotic feel to it, while the other side shows the Liberty Bell with the life liberty and happiness model calling back to what the country was founded on.

You can check out my post at the following link
1984 Liberty Bell Post

The 1984 round was in much better condition, looked more along the line of an uncirculated round with clear fields, and no real environmental impact. It's interesting to compare and contrast these two as as things start to tone and discolor different parts of the images seem to pop more. Things that may have been bleached out or too shiny on one person to photograph seem to really jump off on another. I think the eagle certainly got a better photograph with a little bit of toning, and the lines on the Bell seem to come into focus a bit more along with all of the lettering of life liberty and happiness. I think I might actually prefer the photograph of the tone coins but holding and personally looking at the untold.

  • Thickness 3.00MM

Obverse

I feel like it's hard to come up with something new to say from other post. Well I still love the eagle and shield design with the 13 stars, clearly this round has much more toning and reaction to a probably humid environment. It still looks pretty good but has lost some of the IPO and has certainly gotten some character. Not sure how it comes across in the picture but it certainly has some of that golden / bronze color to it.

Reverse

Same goals for the reverse. Still absolutely love the Bell, the motto, and the fact that they very clearly both put their trademark a as well as the mint stamped on the rim in lettering. I really enjoy how good of a picture this Liberty Bell is, and really emphasizes the crack and what the Liberty Bell means to our history.

I might have to look at trying to buy the 1983 85 86 87 88 and 89 rounds. I only have two of six, but I'm thinking it might be nice to get the full run. It doesn't look like they carry too much of a premium and I might have to try to pick one up here and there.

Something about buying that vintage silver that just seems to be a better choice than most of that new modern stuff. If I can collect some of the older vintage stuff a generic prices it adds some more fun to it for me than buying another Buffalo around

I am sitting here with a generic morgan trade round I can't seem to track down. Is your generic from A Mark, or a copy of it from a different mint? !PIZZA

No date, no distinguishable mint marks that indicate origin, they look brand new.
