Stir-fried Chayote and Spinach for a Healthy Breakfast

Hello, my foodie friends. How are you today? Is everything going well? I hope you are feeling fine and healthy every day.

For today's blog, I will share a simple recipe for a day. Allow me to share it with you, and I hope you will love it, too.

Having nutritious foods on our plate is one of the things we always wanted because as we grow older we realize a lot of changes in our body. Our bodies become weaker and feeling tired even if we walked for a short distance. Sometimes, we cannot do a proper exercise because of the workload that we have. So for today, I prepare delicious and healthy meals for everyone.

To prepare this healthy meal, I will be using what is available around. Growing up in the province, you can plant a variety of vegetables if you just work hard.



Stir-fried chayote and spinach ingredients:

1pc chayote (medium size)
250 g spinach
2 cloves of garlic
2 pcs. bell pepper
Vegetable oil
2 tbsp. Soy sauce
Seasoning



Steps in cooking:
🍃Prepare all the needed ingredients before cooking.


🍃Wash thoroughly the chayote, spinach, and bell pepper before slicing.


🍃Cut the chayote into half, peel the skin then slice diagonally.


🍃Cut the spinach into shorter size, 1 1/2 inches long. Place on a separate plate.


🍃Cut and slice the bell pepper diagonally.


🍃Peel the garlic clove's skin, then slice it into smaller portions.


🍃Place the clean pan into the hot pot with low heat, then place the vegetable oil, enough to fry the ingredients.


🍃Once the oil is getting hot, put the garlic and the bell pepper. Wait until it turns golden brown.


🍃Afterwards, put the sliced chayote in the pan then slowly mix the chayote with the other ingredients. Wait for 5 minutes until the chayote is almost half cooked.


🍃Put the soy sauce into the pan. Then mix with the vegetables slowly.


🍃Put the cut spinach in the pan, then mix it slowly.


🍃Add seasoning to your stir-fried chayote and spinach. Note: Do not overcook the spinach.


🍃Remove the pan in the hot pot before the spinach becomes too lousy, see to it that it remains the crunchiness when you eat it.


🍃Serve it with a pair of rice to your family.


🍃Enjoy your breakfast meal. Happy eating!

This simple recipe is just easy to prepare. Even how simple the food on our table, it won't matter as long as you are together with your family. The bond and laughter shared are the most important.
