This was where I started blogging at Hive (back when it was S----it) in 2017. Our studio is one of those rooms at the end....bet you can't believe it only cost us $120 a month to rent ;-)

120 dollars to rent a month?

Do you know in some countries that's still hella crazy an amount to rent a month?

Now it'd cost $1500 for such a desirable location. I think some smaller less popular cities in China are still this price though, or less than $300 at least for some beautiful space. The problem is that there isn't much going on there and so if you start something it will be hard to generate interest.

You're right, and the moment it gets lively the prices goes up.

It's called Xiamen! In 2012-2017 it was my favorite city but it got very crowded and many of my favorite shops closed so now it's more touristy. It's still worth a visit though!

Never heard of it but it's in deep part of my bucket list now. Thanks for uploading this. Where exactly is it located or should I research that myself.

Falling in love with the view. But I'm sure it's changed now right?

let me know before you go! It’s still pretty beautiful. The ocean smells a little fishy when you swim in it and it’s not as cheap as it used to be but definitely a great introduction to the country. The only bad thing is that the art and music scene has become less carefree and many friends left the city. Still on my top 3 in China but if I ever moved back I’d go to Chengdu.

Hahahaha why wouldn't it, it's an ocean.

This comment made my day man. Thanks for texting me. I will be sure to ping you, and if you are in that area by next year we will definitely meet up .
