RE: The universe is talking, are you listening?

I’m still trying to find a way to talk about this casually with people who aren’t in the same mode of thinking. There are ways to refer to it but they all carry so much baggage.

It’s essentially a shamanistic way of looking at the world, but if you call yourself a shaman, it sounds like a brag, and also tends to include some kind of inherited tradition. So there’s Urban Shaman but meh, feels the same to me, but less reliable. There’s Occult or Hermetic but those sound eerie and also imply teachings that are passed down. There’s also a lot of new Age ideas, but what if you just learned this from your own experience and intuition and your own synchronicities?

For now, all I can do is try to talk about synchronicities and the mirror of life and life interpretations like dream interpretations in roundabout poetic ways. Maybe one day we will come up for a word for this that will stick.

Or maybe it’s better not to label it, recently I heard someone say that to give a name to something is to kill it…I wish I could remember who said it

Yes, I agree. Part of me is as things that have “resonated” with me from different traditions, and part as things I have learned on my own. And sometimes, both.

I actually believe so many weird things.

Then you can confuse the name with the actual thing.

Thanks for stopping by!
