I didn’t expect any financial support from my parents at this stage in my life, but it kind of hurts to see how enthusiastic they were to try and turn me into a worker bee and how unenthusiastic they are about me starting my own business.

They probably just want what they think is best for you, even if it doesn’t align with what you want for yourself.
yep and so we have been battling it out for my whole life lol, maybe one day they won't fight against me.
Hopefully, that day comes soon.
It's difficult for parents to break free of the cycle they've been in for years and years.

They are a brainwashed generation man. That's what they know is go to school, get a job. I was just having this conversation with my Mom the other day in the fact that her generation was brainwashed because growing up, all they knew was what the 3 major broadcasting networks shoved down their throats.
true! But it still hurts to see that even as their trust in that narrative fades they still trust it more than me. It’s still Stockholm syndrome for them.

There comes a point that you just have to do you and not worry about what they say or think. For me, that was my family moving away for years because we needed to live our own journey without everyone else's input. At least for those of us who are in search of true personal freedom, IDK, it's probably just me, lol. I love my mom to death, but there are just things I can't take her advise on anymore because she doesn't really know herself most of the time.

That's great! I tried with my kids but they were not interested, lol. They hold BTC, but they like silver and gold more, which honestly, I can't argue with either, lol.
