Silver Wishlist Day 10: Here Comes The King 👑

avatar
(Edited)

While writing my silver wishlist coin posts, I've noticed a rather shocking truth.
There are almost no male kings on the coins.

The Masochist are outraged!!!

Now after a few digging about I discovered that the reason why almost all the royalty printed on the coins are Queen Elizabeth this and Queen Elizabeth that is because of her long reign.
Her living through the decimalization of previously used coins and staying through the minting and reminting of new ones meant that we got to see her face again and again and again.

Well I say

NOT ANYMORE!!!

I for one is tired of looking at her and need a new face on a coin.
So hear I say

HERE COMES THE KING 👑

This coin is THE KING (999.9) 50 GM SILVER OVAL COIN and it's a lovely piece with a handsome manly portrait on there.
This is a collectible silver coin made by MMTC-PAMP, which is an Indian coin minting company.
After lots of search I couldn't come up with a name of the dashingly handsome man on the front of the coin so I'm forced to believe it's just a fictional doodle on this coin.

Characteristic

Metal: Silver
Purity: 99.9%
Weight: 50 grams
Shape: Oval
Denomination: None Shown
State of Origin: India
Design: A picture of a King in front.

This coin is a simple showpiece that is part of the MMTC-PAMP "Vivaah" collection which it's main use is to be a gift in occasions like weddings or birthdays.
The price is 4,810 Indian Rupees, which is equivalent to about 51 American Dollars.
Plenty cheap considering the staggering prices of the other coins on my wishlist 😀

The silver wishlist initiative was brought on by @silverd510 which is to simply write 12 consecutive posts on different coins one would want for Christmas.

An attractive coin without a denomination indicated on it, I was wondering why this doesn't have '100 Rupee' which would make sense in my thinking.

It's a coin that's simply for show.
No monetary value yet it's worth 50 bucks.

If that makes sense 😂
