Been thinking of which anime to review.
The first time actually that I was stumped about which anime to talk about.
I just recently started watching The Armed Librarians that @adamada reviewed.

A lovely anime by the way...

Then apart from the ongoing anime which I'm currently watching, there was nothing else on my head.
Boredom sat in, then I began rewatching my favorite Naruto battles, it then went to my favorite anime battles of all time.
Recounting the steps till I got to this anime review would be long and tedious, let's just note that at the end I got here😂😂

Ruruoni Kenshin ⚔️

Plot

Hitokiri Battousai, a former assassin of the warring Meiji Era, disappears from his former life to become the wandering swordsman Himura Kenshin.
With the changing of era's, Kenshin hopes to keep his oath of never claiming another life and simply leave his former path of blood and death.
Yet dark powerful forces who against the era change fights to bring him back.

I always look back at this show with love and nostalgia as it was the very first anime I had ever watched.
Back then in 2012, I remember staying up at night watching and rewatching the disk till 2am in the morning.
Back then I didn't fully understand not appreciate the themes this wonder of a show brought, but right now I do and I plan on rewatching it too.

The Good..

- The History.

This show is tied strongly to the Japanese history, with even the main character Himura Kenshin, being based on a samurai assassin that was active during the Meiji Era, Kawakami Gensai.
Gensai is a famous samurai assassin who is famous for his high speed sword skills that make killing in broad daylight possible. _{Read more about it here}.

- The Fights.

Now I'm sure some may wonder what may be good about the fights of an old school anime when we have new ones like JJK and Demon Slayer around.
Well, the difference with this anime is their use of colors in the scenes.
Although the animation was a bit monotonous, the use of striking colors adds a different tone to each scene making the fight genuinely enjoyable to watch.

Even for us who've been force-fed this AI/3D animation stuff😂😂

- A Fulfilling Storyline

This isn't a show only about fights and wars. The anime delves deeper than that, going into different themes based on morality and self judgement.
Through side characters past lives, we get to see different views of the civil war of Japan and how it affected both the attackers, the defenders and Japan as a whole.
The ideologies of each party was explained fully making you the viewer subconsciously choose who you believed in the most.
The storyline is a surreal experience ✨

- The Comedy

This show was my first experience with anime comedic sketches and gestures.
The big eyeballs and the massive bruises when hit playfully are iconic gags that ended up being used and re-used in different shows.
For me it was a hoot, and I loved and laughed at it everytime.
The delivery, timing and instance of use was perfect, making the comedic scenes light and adding a brighter, funnier shade to this already serious anime.

- The Romance

Now this shows, being the wholesome show that it was still had space for romance.

and it was no puppy love, crush or fling kind of thing either.

True love was truly shown between Kenshin and Kaoru as the latter literally chased Kenshin across the warring states of Japan.
It was touching and mystifying to watch, considering how stupid it was😂

But meh, love is stupid, no?

At the end they did end up together, staying in love till death in each other's arms😍

Overall Review

This lovely show is one I advice every ane fan to watch, both the new and the old.
It's certainly something you wouldn't regret. There's a remake who's second season is in the works now, although I haven't watched it, I hear it's still very good.
Regardless, I'll stick to the original, not wanting to spoil any of my childhood memories 😂.

He estado pensando en qué anime revisar.
De hecho, la primera vez que me quedé perplejo sobre de qué anime hablar.
Recientemente comencé a ver The Armed Librarians que revisó @adamada.

Un anime encantador por cierto...

Luego, aparte del anime en curso que estoy viendo actualmente, no había nada más en mi cabeza.
El aburrimiento me invadió, luego comencé a volver a ver mis batallas favoritas de Naruto y luego pasé a mis batallas de anime favoritas de todos los tiempos.
Contar los pasos hasta llegar a esta reseña del anime sería largo y tedioso, solo notemos que al final llegué aquí😂😂

Ruruoni Kenshin ⚔️

Trama

Hitokiri Battousai, un ex asesino de la en guerra Era Meiji, desaparece de su vida anterior para convertirse en el espadachín errante Himura Kenshin.
Con el cambio de era, Kenshin espera mantener su juramento de nunca reclamar otra vida y simplemente abandonar su antiguo camino de sangre y muerte.
Sin embargo, fuerzas oscuras y poderosas que luchan contra el cambio de época luchan para traerlo de regreso.

Siempre recuerdo este programa con amor y nostalgia, ya que fue el primer anime que vi.
En aquel entonces, en 2012, recuerdo haberme quedado despierto por la noche mirando y volviendo a mirar el disco hasta las 2 de la madrugada.
En aquel entonces no entendía completamente ni apreciaba los temas que traía esta maravilla de programa, pero ahora sí lo hago y planeo volver a verlo también.

El bueno..

- La historia.

Este programa está fuertemente ligado a la historia japonesa, e incluso el personaje principal, Himura Kenshin, está basado en un asesino samurái que estuvo activo durante la Era Meiji, Kawakami Gensai.

- Las peleas.

Ahora estoy seguro de que algunos se preguntarán qué pueden tener de bueno las peleas de un anime de la vieja escuela cuando tenemos otros nuevos como JJK y Demon Slayer.
Bueno, la diferencia con este anime es el uso de colores en las escenas.
Aunque la animación era un poco monótona, el uso de colores llamativos añade un tono diferente a cada escena, haciendo que la pelea sea realmente agradable de ver.

Incluso para nosotros, que hemos sido alimentados a la fuerza con estas cosas de animación AI/3D😂😂

- Una historia satisfactoria

Este no es un programa sólo sobre peleas y guerras. El anime profundiza más que eso, abordando diferentes temas basados en la moralidad y el autojuicio.
A través de vidas pasadas de personajes secundarios, podemos ver diferentes puntos de vista de la guerra civil de Japón y cómo afectó tanto a los atacantes como a los defensores y a Japón en su conjunto.
Las ideologías de cada partido se explicaron completamente, lo que hizo que usted, el espectador, eligiera inconscientemente en quién creía más.
La historia es una experiencia surrealista ✨

- La comedia

Este programa fue mi primera experiencia con sketches y gestos de comedia anime.
Los grandes globos oculares y los enormes moretones cuando se golpean en broma son chistes icónicos que terminaron siendo utilizados y reutilizados en diferentes programas.
Para mí fue un puntazo, me encantó y me reí en todo momento.
La entrega, el momento y el uso fueron perfectos, haciendo que las escenas de comedia sean más ligeras y agregando un tono más brillante y divertido a este anime que ya es serio.

- El romance

Ahora bien, esto demuestra que, siendo el programa saludable, todavía había espacio para el romance.

y tampoco fue algo de amor, enamoramiento o aventura de cachorros.

El verdadero amor se demostró verdaderamente entre Kenshin y Kaoru cuando este último literalmente persiguió a Kenshin a través de los estados en guerra de Japón.
Fue conmovedor y desconcertante verlo, considerando lo estúpido que fue😂

Pero meh, el amor es estúpido, ¿no?

Al final terminaron juntos, amándose hasta la muerte en los brazos del otro😍

Revisión general

Este encantador programa es uno que recomiendo a todos los fanáticos que vean, tanto los nuevos como los antiguos.
Sin duda es algo de lo que no te arrepentirás. Hay un remake cuya segunda temporada está en proceso, aunque no lo he visto, escuché que sigue siendo muy bueno.
De todos modos, me quedaré con el original, no quiero estropear ninguno de mis recuerdos de infancia 😂.
