An ending?
The second season was non canon. Like a filler that was just added.
The first, third, fourth and this seasons are cannon.

Yeah, it had a proper ending and everything—the protagonist’s brother gets possessed or some mad thing happens, and there’s this big fight. Technically, that ending wrapped up the anime, but then they released a season that wiped all of that out.
