I hate Influencers

Influencers despite being prevalent in this digital age is a term, concept and attitude as old as human beings.
In every group there's always a certain individual that other look up to, someone that others refer to or make sure to follow their lead.
Everyone as soon as their born always have the choice to be an influencer or be the influenced, I genuinely don't have a problem with anyone or their choice.

My problem and the reason for this rant now is the sever absurdity of the influencers of today, the low bar that has been sent to actually be an influencer, and the lower bar of stupidity the influenced set and consistently keep missing, this bringing the bar lower.

Personally, I've never been someone who's easily influenced. Some may call it my mental fortitude or because I was more "adult-minded" than my peers.. and now that I think of it, maybe I am.
Regardless, why I think I haven't been influenced is simply because the quality of nonsense the influencers are serving is too high😂

In the world alone, or rather maybe Nigeria especially. Influencers are easily the most influential people - granted it comes with the name, but I think maybe people should have a different criteria from following and trusting a person other than the person being popular.

And the funny thing is that there are loads of examples where popular influencers who were treated as online gods were shown to have questionable immoral and downright evil closet lifestyles ranging from stealing to rituals.

I'm trying to rant without calling any particular names but people who know me personally and read this would know the influencer(s) and their fan base that I have in mind right now😂
People treating his words like the gospel when all he's saying is utter rubbish with a sprinkle of sense.
Or maybe it's common sense that has so much antics and jokes that it now looks like rubbish.

In summary I hate influencers. Yet, I think the people I hate more are the fans.
Cause the influencers themselves, I can ignore. In fact normally I wouldn't even know or come across them or their videos by myself.
It's the fans who repost, download, make edits of and use their advices and words without sitting down to think about what their saying with their own head. Yet maybe it's because they can't think about it that's why they listen to the influencers in the first place.
It's sad.. I hate it.
