Now I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. Not huge enough that he'll buy the wand, robes, owl and then a ticket to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley to go act like a freshly enrolled Gryffindor 😂. Yet, I am huge enough to ve fooled by a fan made trailer of a sequel to the series featuring Harry's Son.

Now after being tricked by that trailer, my love and want for a bit of London sorcery had been woken and I went searching for some Potter wickedness.
Although I didn't find any sequels, I did find something that's just as splendid 😀

Fantastic Beast's and Where To Find Them

Plot

Newt Scamander, a magic zoologist, decides to visit New York. His magically extended suitcase which he uses to keep his magical beasts mistakenly opens and the beasts escapes.
Newt with the help of American wizards Porpertina and Queenie Goldstine, and the muggle Jacob Kowalski, has to retrieve these beasts, before they wreck havock in the Non-magical streets of New York.

This show is actually something of a side story that takes place decades before the Harry Potter series.
Although no mention of any iconic characters from The Potter series apart from the good ol' Dumbledore and Lisa Lestrange this show doesn't fail to bring the same feeling of wonder and magical excitement that Harry Potter brought.

Made in 2016, it was clear that J.K Rowling had used some of the knowledge gotten when writing and watching the Harry Potter series to use and create this one cause it was so good🔥🔥✨

What I Liked.

- The Fantastic Beasts

This is legit what the show is about, the magical creatures in the Harry Potter world.
Creatures full of wonder and charisma that it's almost impossible to not fall in love with them😂.
We get to see how Newt deals whit his assorted creatures, their vast differences in terms of size, characters and habitats.
Inside his suitcase is a true mad zoo, and it was plenty fun seeing it.

- The Actors

The actors did a really wonderful job. A full cast of superstars including Johnny Depp, Ezra Miller , Dan Fogler ad Eddie RedMayne.
These actors portrayed their roles splendidly, we believe in their characters, feel their pain, confusion, love and ambition.
It's not some shoddy job of them acting these roles, they lived in the roles and made the characters live in them.
In short they brought life to the story and really made it enjoyable to watch🙂.

- The Story

By now I'm sure it's no new Jews that J.K Rowling is a master of storytelling and world building.
In fact this shouldn't even be a point of what I liked cause it's quite an obvious thing to say.

It has a great story..

Regardless, what made me to include this point is this way everything flowed well. This is a story that drags the viewer in and doesn't let him/her go.
It seems to have a rather predictable plot at first, but then at the end the twists come leaving the once know-it-all viewer in a sense of surprise and a newfound feel of love for the story and sheer wittiness of the author.

- A Lovely Villian

Villians!!!!
Rowling has a knack for writing great, evil characters. We saw Voldemort, the Malfoys and Lestrange, now we get to see Grindelwald.
This character, acted by Johnny Depp, is one that didn't have much screentime in season 1, but he had quite a name already, due to much hints of his works of havoc in Europe that was dropped throughout the film.
We get to see him in the last scenes of the film and in one line he manages to capture our hearts in a chilling way that Voldemort couldn't.
The unique charisma, that Depp's brings can't be overemphasized.

Overall Review 📝

To be honest I had already watched this show a few months ago, promising myself that I'll write about it and post it, but life happened 😂.
So before I began writing this review, to get my facts right, I had to go back on my laptops and rewatch the first season and I fell in love again.
It has 3 installments with the latest that came out 2022. I've already watched tmw and I plan on watching the 3rd pretty soon.
This show is a must watch for every Harry Potter lover, and for those who haven't watched or read Harry Potter.

You don't need to have seen it before watching this. There's almost no previous linking to Harry Potter that'll make one unable to understand or fully enjoy this show.

Vemos cómo Newt trata con sus variadas criaturas, sus grandes diferencias en términos de tamaño, caracteres y hábitats.
Dentro de su maleta hay un verdadero zoológico loco y fue muy divertido verlo.

Los actores hicieron un trabajo realmente maravilloso. Un elenco completo de superestrellas que incluyen a Johnny Depp, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler y Eddie RedMayne.
