Chess Shenanigans
It's been a while since I joined one of hive chesses Friday and Saturday games. It's not an intentional missing on my part though.
Sadly, this final year in university has brought my non existent time management skills to its knees.

Despite my not joining of tournaments, I do manage to get some playtime at odd hours of some odd days and even more recently, I've found a new group of chess fanatics and friends😂.
My first match with Timerideh the newbie

Timerideh or Quorah, which is his Whatsapp monicker is a newbie in chess that has fallen in love with the game through his losses😂

2nd match
I'll have to say, it's a bit refreshing to dogwalk a newbie now instead of strong games where winning is never a given against professionals.
Regardless, I do wish that he'll learn faster, cause these wins are quite disheartening 😂😂😭
3rd Match

I have also played an amateur. I underestimated him and let many many returns.

Regardless, he did lead me to quite an uncomfortable position where my winning was no longer possible, so we went for the draw.

Well, this night after a few offs and on's, I was set against the leading chess champ in the Whatsapp group.

It was a tough match...or so I'd like to say, but this dude was playing with me.

Maybe I was too pumped to play him, wanting to be the grandmaster and well before I knew it, I was playing on his board.
Tomorrow, I'll try against Precious again, at least if our schedules allow us. Despite that, this was a fun night.
Final year university will do that to anybody, so no shame there. I’m glad you’re still getting in some games and finding new chess people to play with. Sounds like it was a fun mix of easy wins, surprises, and a little humbling too.
