Vibes Week 26 || Mary Did You Know (cover) || sekani

Hii friends in the Vibes community! It’s been a few weeks, and I’m so pumped to be able to make this entry and on time too! This week’s theme is right on point.

December has always been a fun time for me and, I believe, for everyone. A lot of good things have happened to me over the years in December, and this year is no different. I got inducted just two weeks ago, which is part of why I wasn’t able to drop an entry that week. I’m just super grateful to be here.

I recall seeing a video of a song that states there’s merriment and snow everywhere but not in Africa 😂. I know the song meant well (it was for aid or something), but yeah, it’s partially true. We’re happier now, but still no snow; it’s harmattan we have here in Nigeria. For the past few years, the weather hasn’t been “giving,” but this year, we have it on full blast
which makes it even more exciting despite the sore throat and blocked nose effect.

I picked this song because of that very effect. I was already starting to sound like a dude and didn’t want to stress too much. And though it’s a common song, I wanted to ask Mary those questions myself 😂. It’s a very thoughtful song, and I absolutely enjoyed making this video. I hope you have the same experience watching it.
