Who says drawing and writting your hands is messy? - My 2-year-old just gave herself some pentel-pen manicure and hands art!
Greetings to all mothers and fathers here @motherhood community!
I'm back again to share a simple yet meaningful moment from my motherhood journey. It might seem no value to others, but for me, it’s a memory worth sharing and keeping.
While I was putting my 7-month-old baby to sleep, my two-year-old baby girl decided to create her own little artwork. I just let her watch TV but I didn’t realize that she had quietly gone to my table, grabbed my pens, and gave herself a little “makeover”! She draw all over her hands and giving herself a pentel-pen manicure!
At first, I got mad as any mom would do. But when I saw her teary eyes and how proudly she showed me her “nail art,” my heart softened. Instead of scolding her, I gently asked what she did. She happily showed me her tiny, ink-covered fingers. Not only her hands, she even scribbled on her face, the bed sheet, and a piece of paper!
I realized then, she wasn’t being naughty. She was just being creative, experimenting in her own toddler way. That’s why instead of getting mad, I explained to her that pens specially pentel-pen are for paper, not for hands and for manicure.
Toddlers are naturally curious and experimental just like my baby girl, she is restless, playful, and always trying new things. Whenever I’m busy, I now make sure to give her paper and a pen to express herself. I believe this helps her develop early writing skills and creativity.
She’s the only girl among my four children, she is loud, bubbly, and full of energy. But as tiring as motherhood can be, my kids are truly God’s gifts. Their laughter, their love, even their mischief can melts away all my stress and exhaustion.
Yes, sometimes I lose my patience and i get angry. I raise my voice. But I always try to explain the reason why and I say sorry when I need to. I want my kids to grow up knowing that love also means admitting our mistakes and teaching with kindness and patience. And also they often remind me how to be a better mom in today's generation.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this simple moment of my motherhood journey. I truly appreciate it.
Always remember to keep smiling and stay safe, especially amidst in the beautiful chaos of parenting.

Toddlers really have their own creative way of surprising us. I can relate to this, they are more playful and curious. Exactly, we need to nurture them instead of getting mad. Motherhood is tiring but all worth it.
Thank you so much for stopping by @dreamrona you're correct. There may be sometime that we got angry with them but we need to explain why after. They may not fully understand now but this is one step of nurturing their attitude while they are still young.
Children are very curious and creative, here my daughter has also experimented with pencil, paper, markers and paints and ends up painting all over the place. Even though she can be a mess I have to let her express herself and be a happy child.
That's true. The wall is covered with colors and markers even the window and the door.

Oh, this is just too cute! 😄 Your little girl’s creativity is priceless. You turned what could have been a stressful moment into a learning experience filled with love and patience.❤️
Hihi that's true ☺️ I was ready to scold her but when she starts to cry I laughed. I remember when I was a kid, I also use markers to color my nails 😅
It’s witty how history repeats itself.😅 Kids really have a way of reminding us of our own childhood mischief.😀
hihi you're absolutely right. So instead of getting mad I just smile and explain it to her. hehe
That's good to hear! hehe

That's true, let's enjoy and treasure the moments because they are only young once.
Agree! Lets give our all out support to them while they're young.
Truly indeed mommy, I feel also happy and angry with my kids. But it was there behaviour, we can't get rid of that. All we need is to be patient and more adjustment. I know someday your little girl have a special talent.
