Where New Life Begins Again - The Nature's Beautiful Artwork on a Fallen Wood!

"In every ending, something new begins!"

Greetings to all fellow Hivers all over the world! I hope everyone is doing great this holiday. I'm a new subscriber here and I also want to share with you the beauty that we have in our hometown especially this little fungus that we have here. I'm so excited to share different kinds of fungus that we have here especially that we are living in a mountainous area.

This morning while I was cleaning our backyard, something caught my eyes. I noticed something small but incredibly beautiful growing on the edge of wood that had been cut and left lying there for a long time. It instantly caught my attention, it's a little fungus quietly growing and living on what once seemed lifeless. Its color was shiny black on the outside and white on the back with a delicate white lining along the edges making it stand out despite its tiny size. So even if you were just passing by, you wouldn’t miss it.

It's the rainy season here with frequent drizzles and only once or twice when we experienced sunshine. Because of this constant moisture, fungi have started to grow on the old, fallen wood not just on our yard but everywhere. This proves that Nature truly knows when the conditions are right. What amazed me even more was that a lot of different kids of fungus growing on one piece of wood, just like on what I saw on our backyard. On the other end of the same piece of wood where these black fungus grow, another fungus had grown but this one had a completely different style, color and appearance. Isn’t that fascinating? From one piece of wood, two or three unique forms of life emerged.

This made me realize that something profound, A new life can exist even where we least expect it. It's amazing that something non-living or dead can give life to other creatures to grow. That simple sight or process reminded me how amazing nature really is. The wood may have lost its life as a tree, but it became a source of life for other living things or creatures. In its “ending,” it gave way to a new beginning or a new life.

Even though the fungus is tiny or big, it carries a powerful message to us that everything in this world has value and purpose. Nothing is wasted and unimportant in nature. Each ending creates space for something new life to exist and flourish. This process made me reflect on human life as well. Just like the fallen or cut wood, when one life ends there is something else that continues, though we may never fully predict or understand how and what comes next.

But then, it’s really comforting to think that life is a continuous process in one form or another, goes on. And sometimes, those small and quiet reminders like a cute little fungus in the backyard are enough to make us amazed, content and grateful for the beauty of nature or the world around us.

That's all about our tiny fungus growing in our backyard, I hope you like it. I may not know the exact name of this fungus but it's really beautiful. Thank you so much for your time in reading my blog, I really appreciate it. Always remember to keep smiling and stay safe! Happy holidays!

Mabuhay!
