When Nature Provides, EVERY DROP MATTERS! - Fetching from the Mountain Natural Spring that Sustains Our Community

Mabuhay!
Greetings to all Hivers all over the world, most especially in this wonderful @outdoorsandmore community! This time I'm going to share with you our drinking water source here in our place. The Natural Spring we called "Pimutik".

After the long holiday season, we eventually ran out of our drinking water. Because of this, we decided to fetch water from a natural spring located in the mountains. The place is quite far from our home and requires about a 20–30 minute drive uphill. This spring is known to us as “Pimutik,” a local term we use because the water suddenly emerges from between large rocks, as if it naturally bursts out of the earth. It's is just along the road that's why it is accessible to any passerby.

Unfortunately, I can no longer show the exact natural opening of the spring because it was buried by a landslide caused by the recent Typhoon Uwan last November 2025. The heavy rains significantly altered the landscape. Thankfully, after the typhoon, road-clearing operations were conducted in the area. During this process, workers were able to uncover the long pipe that was directly connected to the mouth of the spring before the landslide happened. This pipe allows the clean water to flow freely and safely, making it accessible to us once more.

Together with my in-laws and my child, we went to Pimutik to fetch water for our daily drink. We brought several water containers and gallons that is enough to last us for an entire month. The water from this spring is cold, refreshing, very clean and most especially free. Because of its clarity and freshness, it is safe for drinking and truly beneficial to the body. This is the same water we give to our children, as we trust its natural purity. This is also serves as community owned and declared as natural resources by the DENR. So everyone is free to came and fetch.

This spring is not only important to our family but also serves as a vital water source for two barangays, the Barangay Ballay and Barangay Tawangan. Although these barangays belong to the same municipality, Pimutik was located right at their boundary. Many people from other nearby barangays also travel here to fetch water, especially because of its cleanliness and the health benefits it provides plus it was accessible to travelers since it was located at the road side.

It is truly amazing to have access to free and fresh drinking water flowing directly from nature. Experiences like this remind us how generous nature can be to humans and how important it is for us to protect and value these natural resources and treat is as a priceless gift. That's when nature provides, all we can do is receive with gratitude and take responsibility in preserving what has been freely given to us. Am I right?

That's all about our Natural Spring here in our place we called "pimutik" and thank you so much for your time and support. I really appreciate it and this means so much for me. Please stay safe and sleep smiling. See you on my next blog!

I tried drinking water from a mountain, ganyan din na style, and it's really cold and refreshing, unlike the water that you can drink from the faucet in your house. It's a big save na rin for families... Di ka na magbabayad ng mineral water. ☺️ Plus mas healthy pa yan kasi natural.
Absolutely! 💯 Tas iba Yung lasa Nung nabibili. Sarap kaya netong galing sa bundok hihi. Walang halong kung ano ano hehe
I love to live in the mountain because of the fresh waters and it's all free. We are happy that our children experience this also in this new generation time.
.
That's absolutely right. And one more thing it's all free😂
