Meet our Old Bachelor Dog - Max's The Great, A Dog Who Thinks He’s a Carabao when Barking!

Greetings to all pet lovers here on hive, especially here @hivepets community. This time, I'm going to share with you a story of our own Dog.

Who would’ve guessed that this dog is already five years old? Haha! Everyone, meet Max's "the Great". We call him "The Great” because his bark is so loud and powerful that you’d think a carabao was doing the barking! Hahaha.

We’ve had Max's tied up since the COVID days, because back then, he had this wild habit of chasing people even us, like he was in some kind of dog marathon. We were so scared he might bite someone, so to avoid any drama.or a disaster he my bring, we kept him on a leash. And honestly? He’s still tied up today, not just because of that, but also because this old guy loves sneaking out to look for a girlfriend. Such a flirt, right?

Nyahahaha.

Poor Max's, though he can’t pass on his good looks anymore. Haha, just kidding! (Well… maybe half kidding 😜). But the real reason we tie him is that our barangay has an ordinance that we need to follow, it's a “Aso mo, Tali mo", in English "Your Dog, Your Leash". And we’d rather follow the rules than pay those hefty fines! Have you seen how much they charge? It’s no joke! Hahaha Another reason is that when they are not leash, they will freely go anywhere and their favorite spot is the garden specially if it is newly planted.

Of course, we still take Max's out for walks sometimes, and we make sure to play with him so he doesn’t get bored or turn into a moody guard dog who might even bite us someday. Haha He’s actually living quite happily in his little corner. The best part is, from where he’s tied, he can see everything, every angle, every person walking and passing by the house. Perfect spot for the neighborhood’s self-proclaimed security guard! Nyahahahaha

So yep, that’s the story of our Max’s the Great, he may look like an old dog now, but believe me, this boy still has the heart (and energy) of a pup. Maybe even strong enough to make little Max's someday… if he ever finds “the one!” haha
