A Mother’s Love in Times of Sickness - My Journey in Nurturing My Family's Back to Health During Our Two Weeks Battling for Coughs, Colds, and Worries
As a mother, it is our duty to protect and care for our family’s health. But what happens when everyone in the household gets sick all at once especially when there’s a baby involved?

Greetings to all wonderful and amazing mom's out there especially here on hive and this amazing @motherhood community! How are you all doing? mine was tough and challenging but still thankful because as Christmas approaches, I didn’t expect our family to be greeted by sickness. But even though the past few weeks were tough, I’m deeply thankful that we’re all recovering now.

These past two weeks have been incredibly challenging for my family, especially to me as a mom. Because of the nonstop rain and the recent typhoon, the weather has been unusually cold and always drizzling. Soon enough, all of us developed fever, coughs and colds. Even my baby started showing symptoms, and the worst part was that my only daughter came down with a fever that wouldn’t go away in 5 days.

For five long days, her temperature stayed high. We brought her to the hospital, worried that something serious might be happening because she is not eating any kind of food, but the doctors reassured us that her condition wasn’t severe and nothing to worry. They sent us home with instructions and told us to monitor her closely. Thankfully, she’s a strong and healthy kids and after those difficult five days, her fever finally began to settle. Though her appetite didn't come back she is already playing and eating soup and drinking water.

As a mom, I tried my best to keep things together even though I wasn’t feeling well myself. I was coughing, having a fever, and dealing with body aches, but I still pushed myself to cook and care for my kids. It’s painful and heartbreaking to see your children sick especially when they’re so young and helpless. But despite everything, I’m grateful that their immune systems were strong enough to fight off their illness. After two weeks dealing with this Illness, all of us started getting better.

One of the things I did was to prepare a soup for them the one we called "sopas". Their appetite had completely disappeared, and sometimes they refused to eat at all. So I made sure the soup was healthy, flavorful and warm, with extra broth so they could still get nourishment even if they didn’t feel like chewing much. When they tasted it, they actually liked it and drink more, and you know what, that small moment brought me relief. And with the help of the soup I made, their appetite slowly recovering and they are eating even though it was just a small bite.

That's all for today and this is just one chapter of my journey as a mom that is full of challenges, love, care and resilience. Thank you for taking the time to read my motherhood story. I truly appreciate your time and support. Again, always keep smiling and stay safe!

You are such a strong momma; it may be very tough for you and the kids! But your fighting spirit makes everyone in your household push through and get better.
Truly, one of the most painful things about motherhood is when they are sick and so young. I admire you for being strong and taking care of your children. I have only one, and for me it is exhausting. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to have more than one.
That's right. Being a mom is really challenging but when you embrace it even though you have more than one you don't feel that you have many children at all hehe. It was really hard and challenging but once your a mom you can do anything, sometimes you become wonder woman or a super mom but sometimes you will become a dinosaur hahaha. Just embrace it and enjoy, as I always heard from my mom that one day when they will grow old I will be missing the time when they are kids. Hehe just enjoy being a mom that's my secret. Hehe thank you for stopping by to my simple motherhood blog my friend, I really appreciate your support. Happy holidays and stay safe!
