Corn Pulao
This is a very simple and tasty rice pulao recipe with juicy corn and other vegetables. This recipe is made in every household across India. It can be made for everyday meals or on special occasions. Adding sweet corn gives a unique flavour to a normal pulao. To make it even healthier, you can add any vegetable of your choice.
Ingredients:-

  1. Rice- 2 cups
  2. Oil- 1 tsp
  3. Ghee- 1 tsp
  4. Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp
  5. Mustard- 1 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  7. Green chilli, ginger and garlic paste- 1 tsp
  8. Onion- 1 finely chopped
  9. Carrot- 1/4 cup finely chopped
  10. Peas- 1/4 cup
  11. Capsicum- 1/4 cup finely chopped 12) Sweet corn - 1 cup 13) Bay leaves - 2-3 14) Cashews - 1/4 cup 15) Red chili powder - 2 tsp 16) Coriander powder - 2 tsp 17) Turmeric - 1/2 tsp 18) Salt - 1 tsp 19) Biryani masala - 1 tsp 20) Coriander leaves - finely chopped 21) Water - 6 cups Method: - First of all, wash and clean the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Chop all the vegetables finely. Heat half oil and half ghee in a pan and add asafoetida, cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them crackle.

    Then add the paste of (green chilli, ginger and garlic) and fry it

    Then add cashew nuts and bay leaves
    Now add all the chopped vegetables (onion, carrot, capsicum, peas, sweet corn) and fry it for 5 minutes

Then add all the dry spices (red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and Shahi Biryani masala)

And mix it well

Now add water to it

Let it boil

Then add soaked rice

Mix well and let it boil again We will give

Now reduce the flame of the gas and cover it and let it cook for 10 minutes or till the water dries up

By cooking covered, the flavour of all the spices mixed in the water comes to the rice

After the water dries up, turn off the gas and add finely chopped coriander leaves and serve

Leave it to cool for 10 minutes. You can eat this pulao as is or you can eat it with curd and raita.

Now eat and feed it with your family members

hmm... I would recomend not using Evesrest brand for spices, its banned in countries as traces of harmful chemicals were found there. We all need to be careful what brand of food ingredient we use... tata company and MTR , maybe better, you can do your research! anyway...

Not sure you added tomato...but color has come... you can make home made masala too grounding needed spices... and you should tell what rice you used here... its provably basmati rice, not the usual white rice right...anyway... adding pudina, may add flavour I think.
