Beer Tasting Puntigamer Bierige Beer and Lobik Hop Hazard NEPA
Hello, beer lovers! 🍻
Are you ready for new #beersaturday? 412th in a row? One of the oldest contests in Hive Blockchain? Even if you're not, it's a day when I take time out for a beer.
I have one Austrian bottle and one Slovenian can in the fridge. I'd love to share the beer experience with you.
Puntigamer Bierige Beer
Brewed by Brauerei Puntigam, Graz, Austria.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.1% ABV, IBU N/A. It's Märzen lager beer.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Wherever there's a good atmosphere, it's impossible to imagine life without this palatable, pale, full-bodied beer from Puntigam. Its pleasant note is balanced, mild, and bitter. The taste is beery and extremely full-bodied.
Yes, I had a great time in Graz; thank you @reiseamateur again for giving me this bottle. I kept it in the fridge for a long time, almost a month, but it was time to empty it :) 😎
The beer is clear yellow, with a low head that disappears quickly. It has no smell except a little malty. There are lots of bubbles at the beginning. A sip goes smoothly down the throat, and I taste a slight malty sweetness balanced by hop bitterness, with some fruit in the background - I think apple.
Everything slowly disappears in the aftertaste except for the mild hop bitterness that remains for a while.
Very drinkable and tasty! A classic Austrian Märzen beer, I drank quite a few in Graz, and this one today brings back memories :)
Unfortunately, it is not available here in local shops.
I will have to go back to Graz for Hive Creators Days. What do you say, @tibfox?
Today I continued with mowing the orchard and finished.
Then I looked at the trees for a bit. About three weeks ago, the apples were flowering a lot.

But now there is hardly any fruit, I don't know what will happen.
Only the fig tree is full of fruit, I hope they won't all fall off like last year.
Let's move on, one more beer to go.
Lobik Hop Hazard New England Pale Ale
Brewed by Lobik Brewery, Ruše, Slovenia.
Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 6.0% ABV, IBU N/A. NEPA style.
What do the Master Brewers say?
The latest trend in the micro-brewing industry is the New England Pale Ale style, and Hop Hazard is our contribution to the global collection of such beers. Our special combination of fruity aromas will transport you to the depths of tropical forests. Light carbonation and a light bitterness enrich this juicy flavor bomb in their own way. This beer is not only a fruit juice in appearance but also in smell and taste. Amarillo, Citra, Ekuanot hops.
I have never tasted NEPA beer.
The beer is cloudy yellow, with an average head. It smells of tropical fruits. It goes down the throat smoothly, with a reasonably solid bitterness, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, and citrus on the palate.
The fruit flavors and bitterness linger in the aftertaste for some time.
Drinkable and juicy beer! An absolute wealth of tropical fruits. It's my first time trying a NEPA beer, and I don't think it will be the last. But fruit juice is not. Maybe in appearance and aroma, but certainly not in taste. Better than juice! 😎
It's available in local shops and will end up in my fridge for a while.
And what am I listening to when writing this? Nothing from Fridays #newtunes.
In the evening, I'm going to the MKNZ 59th birthday. MKNZ is the club where I record live performances. Here's the documentary, recorded for the 50th birthday. Turn on the subtitles! I have a role :)

I didn't even know about the existence of NEPA beers. Now I must try one, seems exactly the type of beer I like!
I didn't know, either. That's my 1st NEPA tasting :)

I hope this year’s conditions are better and the apple trees keep their fruit, especially after all the care and waiting you’ve put in.
Unfortunately, there are very few apple fruits. Not even for juice.
Wow i have never seen this beer before it looks tasty i think in India beer comes different have you ever tasted corona beer ??
Cheers! Yes, I tasted Corona beer. Lager for sunny days :)
One more cold beer for the road
I'm heading back on taxi though
Peace
I didn't know about NEPA beers.
Lately they haven't been disclosing the IBU in some brands, which I find strange, but it seems to be normal.
