Beer Tasting 🍺Organic Chocolate Stout 🍺Fuller's IPA

Hello, beer lovers! 🍻

How are you?
Warm or cold, hot or icy? After three very rainy days, the sun is back. But it's still cold. The crypto winter persists. And there's nothing we can do but wait for it to pass. It's easiest with a beer in hand.

Today, for the 451st #beersaturday in a row, I have two English bottles in front of me and I can't wait to share my beer experience with you.

First, the one with less alcohol.

🍻 😎 🍻

Organic Chocolate Stout

Brewed by Samuel Smith, Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, England.
Bottle, 0.55 l, alcohol 5.0% ABV, IBU 28. Stout, dark beer.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard water is drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic chocolate malt and organic cocoa impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish – this is the perfect marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

🍺

I don't remember ever trying beer from this brewery before. However, I think it's perfectly logical that all the ingredients are organic. All beers should be, in my humble opinion.

The beer is dark brown in color, with average, very creamy foam. It smells of raisins or dried plums. It goes down smoothly, and the first thing I taste is the pleasant sweetness of milk chocolate, followed by toffee and dried plums in the background, all very juicy.
The aftertaste reveals moderate hop bitterness that lingers for a while.

A juicy and very tasty beer!
Like a chocolate milkshake, creamy and full of flavor. Sweet, but balanced with a bitter finish. I'd have another one right away! I think it's perfect as a dessert beer to accompany sweets. It's not available in local stores, only in specialty beer shops, for €4.69.
I'd love to have another one in my fridge.

🍻 😎 🍻

What's next?

Fuller's India Pale Ale

Brewed by Fuller's Griffin Brewery, London, Greater London, England.
Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.3% ABV, IBU 50. IPA style.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Brewed for export, this refreshing, spicy beer is destined for foreign shores – just like its 19th-century predecessors. A classic English-style IPA, using British hops and malt. Deep Gold in colour, distinctively hoppy and highly refreshing, it’s notable for floral and spicy notes from the hops, and a finish of mild bitterness.

🍺

I have already tried a London Pride beer from this brewery and found it very good.

The beer is orange, almost amber, with average foam that quickly dissipates. It has a slight herbal aroma.
It goes down smoothly, and I can taste the bitterness of hops, which is dominant but not extreme, followed by hints of herbs, grapefruit, and pine resin.
The bitterness of the hops lingers in the aftertaste.

Refreshing and delicious beer!
Not as juicy as the previous one, not as extremely bitter and fruity as American West Coast or New England IPA beers usually are, but a mellow, classic, and traditional English IPA. Occasionally available at local Mercator or Spar stores. Price: €3.96.

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer? Something from Friday's #newtunes. A new band for me, raag and roll vibe!
