Beer Tasting 🍺Hirter 1270 🍺Pécsi Prémium Lager

Hello, beer lovers! 🍻

How are you? It's really morbid here. It's been raining nonstop for two weeks now, everything is soaked, and the atmosphere is just as gloomy. And it's not going to end anytime soon.
What have we done to deserve such punishment from nature? Not to mention the crypto catastrophe...
Luckily, today is #beersaturday, already the 450th in a row, helping us accept this reality. We'll survive, as always.

Today, I have two bottles before me: one Austrian and one Hungarian. The same style of beer. I'll be happy to share my beer experience with you.

First, the one with less alcohol.

🍻 😎 🍻

Hirter 1270

Brewed by Privatbrauerei Hirt, Micheldorf, Kärnten, Austria.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 4.9% ABV, IBU N/A. It's Lager, Vienna style.

What do the Master Brewers say?

A traditional, natural full-bodied beer has been revived according to old recipes and adapted to today's tastes. Hirter 1270 gets its distinctive color from gently roasted, caramelized brewing malt. The extremely long storage and maturation period make Hirter 1270 a very special treat for the discerning palates of all Hirter beer connoisseurs.
The use of the purest aromatic hops, together with caramelized brewing malt, results in a finely balanced, malty taste, which is underscored by the finely bound carbon dioxide. Hirter 1270 presents itself to beer connoisseurs with a spicy, full-bodied aroma.

🍺

The beer is light brown, amber, with little foam. It smells like bread. It goes down smoothly, and I can taste the sweetness of malt, caramel, and bread, along with the bitterness of hops and dried fruit, plums, or raisins.
The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste.

Very tasty and drinkable!
Soft, dominated by malt, elegantly sweet but balanced with moderate hop bitterness, and harmonized with other flavors. If you are interested in a classic European amber lager or Vienna lager, this beer is just the thing. It isn't available in local stores, but I found it in the Kalea Beer Box. It's a shame, because I would like to have another one in the fridge.

🍻 😎 🍻

Pécsi Prémium Lager

Brewed by Pécsi Sörfőzde, Pécs, Dunántúl, Hungary.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.0% ABV, IBU 18. It's a Lager.

What do the Master Brewers say?

A brilliantly clear, amber-colored Vienna-style beer that represents true elegance with its pleasant malty flavor and moderate bitterness. Thanks to its premium quality ingredients, every sip exudes purity and sophistication. Certified by Biokontroll Hungária.

I have very little experience with Hungarian beers. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised?

The beer is light amber, with little foam that quickly vanishes. It has no aroma. It goes down smoothly, and I taste a slight sweetness of malt and caramel, then the bitterness of hops and herbs.
The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste.

A drinkable and refreshing beer. Another Vienna lager, slightly different but still drinkable and tasty. Perhaps not as 'elegant' as Hirter, a little more Hungarian robust, but definitely much better than the standard supermarket lagers you get in every local store. The price is also very reasonable, €1.20. There will be more in the fridge.

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer? Something from Friday's #newtunes. Interesting duet.
