Hail to the Hive!

After a weekend off from working in my temporary personal purgatory of nightshift warehouse bleakness, I found myself waking up at 4am and then unable to sleep later in the day. It can be quite difficult slotting back into a night shift mode after a weekend of free time. I was dreading the upcoming shift as I kenew I was going to be super tired after already being awake for 17 hours before starting. Spotting that I was tired, annoyed and depressed @diveratt picked me up some real coffee bags to get me through the night.

What a wonderful gesture. Now they’re not as clever as the drip bags we had from Japan that hook over the edge of your coffee mug, but they are quite an English alternative.

Like a tea bag but not.

They have free instant coffee ( eeeeeughhh yuck please no!) available here at work and I’m sure my coworkers think I am a snob ( absolutely when it comes to coffee I bloody well am) but I just can’t drink that kaka doo doo poo poo. I need the real deal, the real Mccoy, the black gold I need a proper fix!

And so it came to pass that this act of kindness got me through a bloody awful night where everthing was hard work as I was so tired but the coffee kept me going and it was GOOD! It was my personal oasis in a desert of warehouse tiredness and misery. It was my salvation.

It was bloody lovely.
