That sounds a lot like my husband and his hearing aids. He says they make his ears itch, and voices sound hollow like people are talking down a tube. So he takes them out, and then he doesn't hear me and doesn't know what is going on.

My sister came by and was telling him he needs to make another appointment, she thinks the dentures need more adjusting. He said the top one hits the back of his mouth and the bottom one has already made a sore.
Maybe your husband's doctor needs to adjust your hubby's hearing aid.
Yes, that's what he needs. He just had it done in July, and it was great for 2 or 3 weeks. Then he began to complain again. It's difficult to get in for an appointment, but we have one later this month.
