I actually watched the movie a couple days ago and enjoyed it for what it was without much more. I assume that the movie is the first book of the trilogy as it kind of hinted that there might ne a sequal at the end.

Is there a movie? I'd definitely like to see it. Yes, it's probably based on the first book. It's a very interesting plot.
