Aside from the Lois & Clark Series & Smallville when I was younger, I never really had a thing for Superman movies as the originals came way before my time and the newer ones didn't really do it for me. I'm still feeling like watching the new one though as I could use some totally mindless entertainment blockbuster.

Wow, it's really something that you've only seen Superman in those series, if you ever come around to watching the other Superman movies I think you'd enjoy em.
I ended up watching the 2025 Superman movie a couple days ago and even though I kind of enjoyed watching it, aslo thought it was quite bad. This mainly comes from someone who isn't really into the superhero genre and isn't up to date with the entire universe of it. I still need to find some time to make a full review on it. That said, I'm glad that I watched it still.

The problem I have with these movies is that they always go more extreme. In the past there used to be 1 superman, now it feels like a world full of people with superhero powers. The 3 side characters I don't even know their names (the one with the stupid haircut, the IT superhero, the one with the wings) I mean where do they even come up with those. I have no clue who they were.
Again, it's probably just me who isn't into these kinds of movies.
Hahahahah. I understand your concerns, I think it takes some getting used to. But what you saw in the new Superman is just a tip of the ice berg, there are a lot more superheroes and people with super powers in movies now. Have you watched the Marvel superhero movies?
I think I watched most of them at least up until Avengers End game which I enjoyed. I certainly can see how these movies are the Star Wars or Jurarsic Park of their generation. I guess superhero movies in general aren't really my favorites and it's more a personal thing. I enjoyed the first Guardians of the Galaxy a lot, the first Incredibles pixar movie, & the Dark Knight mainly because the ecellent joker that was in it. Pretty much all the DC comic movies I saw were a let down, in that regard was Superman now one of the better.
