π¬ Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) | Dinos On The Big Screen! π₯

So on Thursday I had a pretty shitty day and I figured that one of the things that could cheer me up was to go see the new Jurassic World movie. I didn't have any expectations on it and just wanted some feel good entertainment which is exactly what it provided me.
Jurassic World Rebirth (7.0/10)
It's very easy to break this movie into to the ground totally and give it a really low score as so many things about it are just stupid. The tone is set early on 17 years ago in a lab where on an island where they did experiments to make hybrid Dinosaurs where the paper from a snickers bar (More product placement as in the previous movies),out of nowhere causes the entire facility on the island to break down and one of the employees to get stuck with the D-Rex hybrid. You just can't make up how stupid this starting stotyline is.
This is followed by the most generic plotlines and characters which the biggest pleb could have written. I don't consider anything about the plot an actual spoiler as it brings nothing to the movie at all. The same ides once again was used that people are bored with regular Dinosaurs and the industry around it breaks down while a big pharmaceutical company needs some blood samples to create a medicine that would solve the main cause of death of people. So a crew is gathered by a corporate money greedy guy and they leave to an island which is forbidden to go to where the lab facility that got compromized used to be.
The entire storyline feels like that of a bad video game where they need to collect 3 samples which allows the movie to have scenes with a big land dinosaur, a water dinosaur and a Flying dinosaur. There is also a family that has nothing to do with it all which tries to provide some comedy (the boyfriend) / cute (the child with the baby dinosaur) content for the movie but it was never at any point funny.
The entire bad guy plotline was also extremely generic and the way too often used the Jurassic Park main theme which felt out of place as this movie kind of ruins the beauty of it from the first movie. I also didn't really liked the direction of these freak 'clones gone wrong' hybrid dinosaurs
Movie Plot:
Five years post-Jurassic World: Dominion (2022), an expedition braves isolated equatorial regions to extract DNA from three massive prehistoric creatures for a groundbreaking medical breakthrough.
However, despite everything bad about this movie, it did provide what I needed and I never was bored at any given moment. I enjoyed the environments along with the dinos and how it was all filmed while none of the characters annoyed me. I also will continue to watch these movies in the cinema for as long as they keep making them as I so far never regretted it.
Conclusion
Jurassic World Rebird for me did exactly what I hoped it would do after a quite shitty day providing me with 2 hours+ of fun in the cinema having a good time. While I would say there are 100+ things or more that are absolutely stupid and ridiculous about this movie, I also enjoyed it for what it was going into it with the right expectations at the right time. As I rate movies on how much I enjoyed it, I can't do anything ales than score it an ok 7.0/10

I haven't watched the last Jurassic Park movies, but I'm considering do a marathon of all movies.
I couldn't do a marathon, for me these movies are really great to watch when you had a bad day and want to totally turn off your brain and get some enjoyment.
It's always a good idea to do a marathon hahaha

I had forgotten about the Snickers bar being the reason why the entire facility gets routed. It is a powerfully stupid but I guess necessary part of the plot because something has to happen to the facility, right? It begs a lot of questions like "wouldn't they have an immense amount of safeguards to prevent exactly this sort of thing from happening? Like one single door failure causes the ENTIRE facility to go into system shutdown? There's no override? What happens when doors fail for other reasons because I don't know if most people are aware of this, but doors regularly fail for a wide variety of reasons.
The petrol station filled with snacks was equally dumb and was put in merely to have an aisle throwback to the first movie. Where are the potential customers coming from? They all work there as scientists do they not? Surely they wouldn't just be taking holidays down to the shore on their days off. It's dumb.
But that being said just like you experienced there are so many reasons why so much of this film is just crazy stupid, but still, it was one of my more enjoyable theater experiences in recent YEARS and I am very glad I went. Part of the reason why is because I didn't expect it to be anything other than what it is, just like all the other JP movies.
I guess the answer to all of it is Product Placement, the Jurassic World movies have been full of it. I bet the stupidity of the Snickers scenario and scene was done on purpose so people would talk about it and make memes which only helps to spread brand awareness and sales. No such thing as bad publicity. The entire movie can be broken down in one stupid illogical thing after another.
In a way the original Jutassic Park movie also had one major mistake with the T-Rex scene and the cliff where the car was pushed off that was there out of nowhere. Somehow with these movies this is all forgiven. I'm already looking forward to the next one.
I can't wait to watch this movie. The good thing is that you didn't get bored, I hope to enjoy it also. Thanks for sharing your review π¦βοΈ
I fully understand how for many people these movies have become totally unwatchable and utterly stupid.
Welcome to Hive, and good luck getting something going here!
Thanks for the welcome βοΈ
