Hive Blog July Growth
After only having 4 posts in June, I was a bit more active again in July with 8 posts. However, post payouts have gotten smaller compared to a couple months ago which makes it a lot harder to grow as I have less HBD to get Delegations while they also have gotten more expensive. It honestly doesn't feel like it's making any difference that I'm getting my own upvote up to 0.04$ but I do enjoy the fact that I can give some back. I would say it's one of the major issues of Hive that there simply aren't enough incentives for users to buy or rent Hive as so many are just cashing out constantly without any repercussion.
This said, I naturally enjoy having this blog aside from any of the earnings as it really enhances my viewing experience making everything I watch just a bit more memorable. I'm also getting a bit more picky so I rarely ever watch any bad movies anymore.
Hive Activity in July
With lower Post Payouts on average and some leases expiring, I continue to go down in overall Hive Power from 5800HP to 4020 Last month and just 3529 HP now.

In the previous report despite 4 josts I went from 396.779HP to 468.182HP mainly because of 1 nice post payout that was still pending from the month before. In July I went from 468.182HP to 519.685HP so a 51.503 Hive Increase
I did manage to get 7 more people here on Hive to press the follow button getting me up to 49 and around halfway to my first 100.

So everything taken into account, I'm still quite pleased with the progress and I plan to keep growing in August. I still use a https://hive.vote/ auto-upvote list so my voting doesn't go to 100% on days when I'm not around. However, it's just really hard to find accounts that meet all the requirements as there are limited accounts that almost exclusively make posts about movies and many of them are just cashing out everything they earn. Everything combined, it's hard to fing enough good content/users to upvote. Right now on my Auto-Upvotes are still going to @cinetv | @netflixr | @takeru255 | @incublus | @okarun | @bighungrypanda | @skiptvads | @slobberchops | @pravesh0 | @ocdb but I might make some changes to this in August.
I continue to do most curation manually though. The Curation number now is at 9.78% which just about makes me back what I'm paying for the delegations.
July 2025 Recap
This month was a solid one as I watched one unique classic that will stick with me the rest of my life as a fond memory. That was the 1975 Movie "Jeanne Dielman 23 Quai Du Commerce 1080 Bruxelles" which I scored a really high 8.9/10! I also went to watch 2 NoBrain movies in the Cinema which I both enjoyed in F1 The Movie (7.7/10) & Jurassic World Rebirth (7.0/10). The one anime Movie I watched was The First Slam Dunk which kind of dissapointed with a 6.9/10 mainly for the good animation. I also watched 2 movies that I wanted to see for a while with The Social Network (7.0/10) and Das Lehrerzimmer (7.4/10). Finally, I watched one Series with the new Squid Game Season which was both and enjoyable watch and a dissapointment (7.0/10).
July 2025 Outlook
I'm currently watching 1st season of the anime series Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion which after just 2 episodes I'm still kind of getting into. I'm looking to go live a couple months in Asia possibly next year so I want to watch some asian movies and already have 'The Farewell' lined up as something I likely will enjoy. Aside from this I will see where the new month takes me.

Thanks, growth is slowing down though. I'm watchig Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion at the moment 4 episodes into it. I'm not 100% hooked on it yet but feel that I'm getting there as it has some similarities with Death Note.
I haven't watched neither of those haha. I plan to watch Death Note someday, but I'm not feeling like to do it now haha.
I get the idea of waiting for the best time, I really enjoyed that one though as the first anime series that I watched setting the bar quite high. I hope you enjoy it as much if you one day end up watching it!

Without renting Hive Power, just staking
Yeah, honestly it doesn't really feel like renting Hive power is making any difference at the moment. I do however think I would have less owned HP overall if I just converted the HBD to Hive and staked it. Hive really needs to give way more incentives for users to actually rent, or buy and stake Hive.
