There are a lot of things that can evoke very strong emotions but one of the things we do overlook a little bit is surely the sense of smell. One of the most special scents for me is the smell of rain on dry soil.

It brings back so many memories that are attached to it as a kid for me. The simple comparison of what used to happen when it rained when I was a kid and how I spend my time now when it rains makes me miss those moments much more and all of that gets triggered by that pure scent.
