The Second Conclave Arcana Conflicts Is Coming
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
It has been almost 30 days since the Conclave Arcana Conflicts started with Zryx The Emberglace as the first airdrop card. With how high the points needed to get a guaranteed airdrop are, I'm not expecting to get one, but who knows what the Goddess of RNG has in store for me.
Anyways, since the first airdrop is almost at its end, Splinterlands has finally revealed the next conflict card along with all of its stats. With that said, this post will be about Zarin The Scorch
, its stats, as well as breaking down the recent changes with Conflicts that may affect the amount of airdrops that players can receive, and the amount of wagons they need to repair.
The second Airdrop Card
Just like the first airdrop card, the second airdrop card was also a Dragon unit. This just follows what we got with Rage and Kei for the Rebellion airdrop, so if that was the case, the third airdrop will be a neutral unit, followed by the six legendary summoners, with design inputs by the top six players during the presale. I will talk about them when they come, but for now, lets see what the second airdrop card was like.

Having 8 mana, Zarin the Scorch was a costly card to use but not as much as the giants, and even though it was a dragon unit, it has a Djinn Bloodline. At level 1, it has the Slow ability which reduces the speed of all opponent units by 1, while at level two it gains Phase Ward that will give the Phase ability on the unit next to the card. At Level 3, it gains both Camouflage ability that makes the card hidden to direct attacks and Cleanses Rearguard that removes the negative stats on a card, while at level 4, it gains Blast which inflicts additional damage on the adjacent unit to its target.
Overall, this is a very solid support card that can also inflict some serious damage and was the recent addition to units that has Phase Ward and Rearguard Cleanse which is one of the new abilities that comes with Rebellion. Furthermore, since this was a dragon unit, it can be used in a more situations together with other elements.
Compatible Rulesets
![]() Wands Out | Since Zarin the Scorch has the Phase Ward ability, it could help by giving the Phase ability on fast magic units when under this ruleset. |
![]() Might Makes Right | The 5 melee damage of Zarin the Scorch makes him compatible for this ruleset but it also has 2 magic damage to add some punch. |
![]() Need For Speed | Zarin the Scorch may not be the fastest, but has more than enough speed for this ruleset. |
![]() Noxious Fumes | With all monsters poisoned, the Rearguard Cleanse of Zarin the Scorch will help to remove the negative status on your ally units each turn that passes. |
Archon Synergies
Modern format currently has 4 Dragon Archons that players can use- two from Rebellion and two from Conclave Arcana, but if you think of Zarin the Scorch rather than Conclave Arcana, it seems that the card was more compatible for Rebellion Archons.
For instance, you may not want to use the tactics ability, Poison Burst and Corrosive Ward, of the Archon Sheng Xiao to Zarin the Scorch, but rather on a tank or a unit with Taunt. On the other hand, Kravor Skarn, being a different bloodline would not be able to use it;s Bloodline Dominion ability on Zarin the Scorch.
Less compatible with Zyrx the Emberglace

But when it comes to Rebellion Archons, it seems to have better synergy to Zarin the Scorch with the Ambush ability from Akane to give it the ability to attack even before round 1 starts, and potentially defeating some opponent cards and spreading the damage through Blast or by giving it the +2 speed and Execute may give Zarin the Scorch to attack once again when the opponent only has 2 or less health.

Airdrop Requirements
To get a guaranteed copy of Zarin the Scorch, a player will need a minimum of 850 Entries
, with each entry worth 100,000 Points
. It's 50 entries higher than the first conflict, making it harder to get. That said, each entry will give a 0.117647%
chance to receive a conflict card.
For every 25 cards they get, a player will get a guaranteed Gold Foil Copy of the card and by using an 50 alchemy potion per card, it can be reduced so that the guaranteed comes for every 13 copies.
Players can also use 50 Midnight potions per entry to increase the chance of getting a Black foil copy of the card to 0.20% from its base chance of 0.10%.
Jackpot Additions
At the end of the conflict, ther will be 1 Black Foil Arcane and 5 Gold Foil arcane version of Zarin the Scorch that will be added in the Conclave Arcana Jackpot Prices and can only be acquired through any of the Conclave Arcana packs except for the starter pack.
Wagon Repair
During the first airdrop, there are players that can get more than cards than the wagons that they own, mainly because of the huge CP boost that Black Foil Card provides. Because of this, with the next airdrop they made a change to the conflicts where players will need to have the same number of wagons to break before they can get a copy of their card.
Rarity | RF | GF | BF |
---|---|---|---|
Common | 2,100 | 4,988 | 24,938 |
Rare | 2,415 | 11,550 | 57,750 |
Epic | 4,830 | 26,250 | 131,250 |
Legendary | 5,775 | 52,500 | 262,500 |
With this change, players will now need for more wagons and will soak up some more of those land resources.
Closing
With Zarin the Scorch, I though that the Drakoshan Bloodline will finally get additional force but it turn out to be of the Djinn bloodline, but that doesn't mean that it was a weak card by any means. I just want to see more Bloodline synergies within the Dragon Element. Anyways, I hope you got lucky with your conflict airdrops.
Thank you and see you on the next post!
