Just The Right Synergy

In Splinterlands, it takes more than just playing strong cards to win the battle. Many of the times, it requires a combination of two or more cards that at are weak in their own but together with other cards, they could form a good synergy resulting a powerful battle advantage in battles.
And so, for my first entry in this week's Community Engagement Challenge, I want to share with you one of the best #SplinterSynergy among the life element which is the Iziar- Olivia of the Brook combo.
Iziar- Olivia of The Brook Combo
Iziar and Olivia of the Brook are both magic units for the Life element and are both soulbound reward cards. Looking at both, they are not that powerful damage wise with Iziar's main role to be a backline tank that would absorb attacks using Taunt on it will most likely get defeated in few rounds but as she dies, it will trigger the Martyr ability which would increase all the stats of the cards adjacent to it by +1. On the other hand, Olivia of the Brook uses its Opportunity to attack to target the opponent with the lowest amount of health but along with it was it's Reflection Shield that makes it immune to all the reflected and Blast damage, making it just the right card to place next to Iziar and benefit from the effect of Martyr so that it's lack of damage will be compensated with the stats boost while it also has the Mimic which allows it to gain random abilities for each passing round.
It's even stronger with Adelade Brightwing and Djinn Renova
At the same time, this combo becomes more powerful when cards such as Djinn Renova was put in the combo as it has the Triage ability to restore the health of the backline monster that receives the most damage and extend the rounds by which Iziar will stay in the battle while the Resurrect on Adelade Brightwing will allow Iziar's Martyr to activate twice giving double boost on the stats of Olivia of the Brook

This battle comes with 56 mana cap with Aim True ruleset meaning, all units gains the True Strike ability that makes the attack never miss the target. I used Iziar to boost the stats of Olivia of the Brook and Pelacor Arbalest with the support of Adelade Brightwing and Djinn Renova.
Because of the Taunt on Iziar, all the abled attacks from the opponent are directed to her resulting for her to lose a significant amount of health in just one round. But thanks to it, all my other cards with much lower health avoided being attacked and getting damaged.
And even when it receives all the damage, thanks to the Triage on Djinn Renova, the health of Iziar was restored by 4 allowing it to take a couple of damage before it was defeated.
Despite that, Iziar was still defeated but as a result, it boosted the stats of Pelacor Arbalest and Olivia of the Brook while also being resurrected by Adelade Brightwing so that it's Martyr can activate once again.
As a result, when Iziar was defeated once again, it boosted the stats of Olivia of the Brook and Pelacor Arbalest so they became quite fast and powerful.
The battle was even ended by Olivia of the Brook, defeating Goblin Tower to close the match while it also gains a few abilities during the battle such as Protect, Void, Trample, Blast and Shatter.

The synergy on Iziar and Olivia of the Brook is not that powerful at the beginning of the battle but only takes effect once Iziar was defeated, boosting the stats of Olivia of the Brook as she also collects new abilities to obliterate the opponent team.
