Its A Good Year: 2025 Wrapped Up

It feels like it was just recently when we welcomed the year 2025, reflecting on the previous year, and setting up our goals for the year to come. And then, suddenly, we are now only a few days away from 2025 coming to an end. But as the year rolls to a close, it will be a good time for me to look back on this year's highlights and achievements before we welcome 2026.

This year was not all sunshine and rainbows. I had my fair share of troubles from here and there, and there are also goals that I set my eyes on, but things didn't go as planned. But overall, I think 2025 has been a really good year for me. After all, just making it through the year safe and sound was more than enough for me to be grateful.

That said, when it comes to this year's highlights, mine will be centered on attending concerts. It is a hobby that I used to enjoy until Covid came, and when it was finally clear of the pandemic, I'm still adjusting to my new work. But this year, I was finally able to settle in, and with that, I again continue to go to concerts, supporting both local and international bands.

And that's not all, it was also during this year that two of the bands that I'm listening to had their first concert in the country. First, was the kawaii metal band, Babymetal last October 8 which I written on this post, and the other was the screamo, post-hardcore band Alesana last November 25, for which I am still writing my draft post at the moment, but this band place an important place in my childhood and I've been waiting for the last 20 years. Don't believe me? Well, you can take a look at the guy first in line before the concert. Apparently, he was already there more than 6 hours before the show.

As for my achievements this year, let me begin with Hive, as I reached my 4th year on the platform just 10 days ago, while still consistently making posts that I am passionate about. At the same time, I also completed all of this year's Hive power-up day, meaning that throughout the year, I haven't done a single power down. And because of that, I now have more than 6.5k HP in my wallet, which is almost double the 3.5k HP that I set earlier this year.

Then, when it comes to my other achievements, I've talked about how I recently picked up running as a hobby and joined fun run events, and so far, I have joined 3 events, all of which are in the 10-kilometer category. Thankfully, I was able to finish each event without getting injured or caught in any accident.

And on the last fun run event I joined, which was held last Sunday, I was able to set multiple personal records, showing clear results of my hard work paying off.

I think that I have done most of the things that I need to do this year, so I do not really expect anything to happen with the remaining days of the year. Maybe reaching 7k HP, which is plausible if I use my HBD to buy Hive, which is really tempting to do right now, given how low its current price is. But other than that, I will just see the rest of the year with low expectations, so that it will shock me when something good happens, and won't disappoint me when nothing comes to fruition.

Thank you for reading my post, and see you in the next one!
