I Have A Love-Hate Relationship With The Leaderboard

2026_SPL_10.png

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands every day!

The first month of 2026 has ended, which means that we already played two ranked battle seasons this year, and while I find the first season of the year incredibly tough due to the liquidity bots using maxed level reward cards in matches, I find the last season a little bit easier, even though I have the same deck as the previous season, so there was really no change in the cards that I am using or the lineups that I play. Maybe I got a better hold of the bot's patterns when sending their teams and providing a better counter against them, because it certainly is not because I got lucky, since I got lots of battles where I think I could have won, but lost instead. Since last season was a lot easier, I was also able to rank once again in the leaderboard. At this point, it seems like I have a love-hate relationship with the leaderboard

Anyway, the new season has just started, I want to share with you how I performed last season, as well as the current progress of my reward cards.

Modern Format Season 88 Splinterlands Report

Since last season was a little easier, I was finaly able to secure my position in the leaderboard and win some Glint rewards, along with the league advancement rewards that I getas I advanced in league. At the end of the season, I ended in Champion II, which is not bad considering the deck that I use. The only downside of going into Champ II is that I drop to Diamond I this season, meaning that the earliest league that I will get advancement rewards is at Champion III, and I could only probably get season advancement chest until Champion II. So far, I already reached Champion I two days after the season reset, and I mostly got fortune entries. Hope that it means I will finally win in fortune draws this season.

Speaking of Fortune Draw, one took place three days ago, and unfortunately, I once again didn't win any prize. Well, there were still 40 draws remaining, so there's still a lot of hope that I will get some of the prize.

Match Report

Modern Ranked Diamond
Leaderboard Rank83- Champion II
Rating4,040
Total Battles447
Total Wins227
Win Rate50.78%
Longest Streak9
Leaderboard Reward 50,000

For modern ranked season 87, I have played more battles compared to the season prior to it, and compared to that season, my win rate has increased from 49.53% to 50.78%. As a result, my Glint and SPS earnings have also increased slightly. I have also played all my brawls last season, but that did not really contribute to how much SPS I earned last season, though the merits help me in purchasing some Gladius packs, and leveling some of my Gladius cards.

SPS Earnings
Staking Rewards 28.691 SPS
Ranked Rewards 3,761.695 SPS
Brawl Rewards 64.161 SPS
Tournament Prize 637.9 SPS
DEC.png 100 DEC
Total 4,492.447 SPS
DEC.png 100 DEC

The total SPS that I won last season was a little higher than the SPS I get on the season prior to it, about 354 SPS to be more precise, but there are fewer tournaments that I can play during this season.

And with that, I have earned a total of 4,492.447 SPS and 100 DEC or about 36.00 $ combined at its current price.

MERITS Brawl prizes 10,400
VOUCHER 4.363
Fortune Entryfortune ticcket.png 395

And with me participating in all the brawls, I earned a total of 10,400 merits this season. Another reason why it's low is that the third brawl cycle is still going on and will count for the next season. On the other hand, my Fortune Entry was higher compared to the season prior to it but still was not that many. Maybe getting more in loot from the chest will allow me to have more fortune entries this week, but that will only matter if I win premium cards.

Glint Ranked 287,271
Glint Season 240,595
Reward -
Total Glint Earned 527,866

When it comes to my Glint earnings, there was not really that much difference with what I earned last season compared to the season prior to it, aside from the leaderboard rewards that I lost. Still, my glint earnings were still above 500k.

Expences
SPS RentalDEC.png 2,666.992 DEC
Card RentalDEC.png 27,649.024 DEC
Tournament FeesDEC.png 1,600 DEC
Fortune PassDEC.png 250 DEC
Total CostDEC.png 32,166.016 DEC
Glint Purchase 525,000

When it comes to my rental cost, my total expenses this season were 32,166.016 DEC or about $ 19.44. And if we deduct it from my SPS earnings, I will be left with around $21.28 in earnings, which 2$ higher than what I earned last season.

CA Reward and Extra set Progress

Once again, using the site splinterhub.com, we now have an easier way to monitor the progress of our CA reward cards, though this does not include the Extra set, so that will be manually monitored. And for this season, my common cards jumped from 41% to 46% completion, with most of my common cards at level 7. My rare collection also jumped from 38% to 35%, and my epic collection slightly increased to 12%, though my Legendary collection stayed at 2% completion, meaning I haven't gotten any legendary rewards from at least 3 straight seasons.

As for my Extra collection, I now have a level 3 Luckiest Longshot, which is just to show how I keep on getting unlucky in fortune draws, and not won any GFA or Black Foil cards.

Closing

And that was it for this season's recap. I guess I will continue to have this love-hate relationship with the leaderboard for the following seasons, where there are times that I will feel behind a few ratings short to get any Glint, and rise in ranking more than I expected. But that is just how it is, I guess.

Thank you for reading my post, and see you on the next one!
