Conclave Arcana: The Elves Bloodline

It's been a while since Conclave Arcana has been released in the Modern format and shake the meta with new abilities as well as the new game mechanics that they brought into the mix, bringing fun and the return of the fast- paced, auto-battler strategy game in it's real essence. Certainly, the new Bloodline Dominion mechanics plays a vital part in making Modern format, exciting once again. As you know, Bloodline Dominion is a mechanics where an Archon can summon units that shares the same bloodline as them, regardless of their particular element as long as they are available in the ruleset and once summoned, the units with the same bloodline as the Archon will get an additional ability.
In this post, I want to talk about the Elves Bloodline, which I think has the most enjoyable Bloodline ability when used accordingly.
Elves and the Planes of Existence
Splinterlands is just one of the many realms within the Planes of Existence, a terms to refer the numerous interconnected realms occupied by the same space and time but are divided by ley lines or the boundaries that separate and protect each realm. Occasionally, these ley lines gets weakened either through natural or magical means but when it does, it allows passage within or across the different realms. Elves are a species that belonged to the Feyfolk creatures, native to the Fey plane or Shadow Plane but eventually left en masse for the Splinterlands realm many eons ago.
The Elves Bloodline can be distinguished by their slender builds with males weighing slightly more than females. Unlike other race, they do not have facial hair and has very little body hair with one reaching adulthood by the age of 20 and can live about 750 years. Despite that, it is hard to distinguish their age due to their ethereal beauty.
Elves possess inherent magic but often lived in secluded woodland settlements as most disdain contact with outsiders, although they often trade with them for ore, raw gemstones, and other minerals, as they also disdain mining.
In Conclave Arcana, the Elf that has become the first Archon was Kaylia Silverleaf. As an Archon, she reduces the magic of all opponent units by -1and for her Bloodline ability, she gives the Execute ability on units that shares the same bloodline so that if their target only has 2 or less health after a successful attack, they can perform another attack against the same unit.

Conclave Arcana Elf Units
As for Elf units, there are currently 7 cards that belongs to the Conclave Arcana Core set. Three of this units belongs to the Earth element so they will be available to use for most of the time while there are 1 elf unit each for the life, death dragon and neutral element.

The Conclave Arcana Elf units are mostly low to mid mana units so they are best used in low- mid mana battles which is fine since not many units within the same range has a lot of health so, there is a better chance for their Bloodline abilities to be of use.
Aside from the nine Ulunds, there are also three other Conclave Arcana units that can benefit from the Bloodline Dominion ability of Bella Ratajowlski and that was because they have the Shapeshift ability, making these cards of the same bloodline.

All in all, there are ten units that can synergize and get the Execute ability through Kaylia Silverleaf's Bloodline Dominion.
Ulund Units from Other Sets
When it comes to other sets, there is one ulund unit in the Foundation Set and 2 Ulund cards in Rebellion set that can be used in modern format. Other than that, there is no other Ulund unit in the older sets, which is quite surprising because looking at Jared Scar, you would expect him to be an Ulund, but turns out that he was a Dhampir.

Yeah... The new Foundation set also brings to us some Elf units, though in my surprise, there are two elf units that are currently unavailable to me, despite completing all the chapters of the Campaign Mode for a total of four elf units. My guess is that this additional cards will be available as a reward when additional content was added to the Campaign mode.

There are a total of Nine Elf units in the Rebellion set and half of them are also belongs to the Earth element, making them more available for Kaylia Silverleaf to summon.

Wow! That's a lot for the elf units from the older sets. So far, they have the most amount of cards that belong to a bloodline. Since I do not own many of the old cards, the only time that I can test their bloodline synergy was on ghost card tournaments, or practice mode but I'll bet, they will be really fun to play around.
Closing
And that was my initial assessment to the Elves Bloodline of Conclave Arcana. Through this post, I was able to realize how many elf units are present in the older sets and how they can add a new layer of strategy in the Wild format, more than in the Modern Format. Still, they can be really fun in modern as they have the opportunity to finish the opponent that they already attacked with the Execute ability.
