@savvyplayer noticed just a few days ago that the DLUX website has migrated to another blockchain, and all mentions of "Hive" are no longer there. π€π€― I also can't find on #Ecency Search any (official or otherwise) mention about such drastic change !INDEED. π€―π€―π€

I saw a post from a popular Hive author about 7 months ago asking people on Hive to vote for DLUX on its #thedapplist page (redirecting to this page), where it currently has 337 upvotes. π€
Interesting, though sadly not surprising. πππβ¨π€

Among all the #Honeycomb networks that I have monitored so far (which are SPK, DLUX, and DUAT), only the SPK network remained active here on Hive. π€π However, it still seems far from being testable by end-users yet, let alone available for practical use !INDEED. π§ββοΈπ€―π

That's a sad state of affairs indeed, I must say. πππβ¨π€

I'm still looking forward to the SPK network hosting the SPK Files, which is a cloud storage powered by the SPK equivalent of Resource Credits !INDEED. π€π§ββοΈ
I saw the #Honeycomb main developer's latest post which was 5 months ago for the SPK network, and it has a version of SPK files which requires the download and running of a desktop app named "Oratr" (where a Hive account must be used without the benefit of #HiveKeychain which is a web browser extension or mobile app, though Oratr appears to be FOSS). π€π€― What's even weirder is that such post (taking note that it is the latest) still refers to the DLUX website which no longer operates on Hive. π€―π€―π€

Yep, me too, and I hope it happens.
Curious and weird indeed. πππβ¨π€

I haven't tried the desktop app for SPK files yet, but I can't think of any other way to login using a Hive account there rather than directly inserting the private posting (and active) key there !INDEED. π€π€―π€―π€

That doesn't sound like a good design choice at all, yikes. πππβ¨π€

It's one thing for an app to be FOSS (the SPK Files's desktop app in this case), and getting knowledgeable devs to inspect the code (and responsibly share vulnerabilities) is another !INDEED. π€π§ββοΈπ€―π€

Having enough knowledgeable people, devs or otherwise, is always a good thing. πππβ¨π€

A good way to properly test the SPK Files desktop app safely though is to create a new Hive account exclusive for it, loading it only with SPK-related tokens where necessary !INDEED. π€π§ββοΈπ€π

Yes, that would be a good option, especially when private keys are involved. πππβ¨π€

For even safer testing, that desktop app (even if FOSS) should be downloaded and run inside a virtual machine (with networking) !INDEED. π€π§ββοΈπ€―π€
