I think that while Bjorn has !INDEED been back on Hive since yesterday, he just published a few posts and comments (less than 10 within the past 48 hours). 🤯😅

While Bjorn is able to publish only about 24 comments here on Hive within the past 6 days, he at least is able to publish at least one (long) post everyday. 😎

I think that in general, a Hive author publishing a post everyday should try to publish comments at least the same number of human comments they receive under their own posts, so that they could be considered still "engaging" !INDEED. 🧘‍♂️🤓

Your level engagement shows on the #Ecency Weekly Engagement Leaderboard (where you are at Top 5), and your comments are longer and more meaningful than "great post" or "nice one" or similar comments !INDEED. 🤗🧘‍♂️🤓

While some active #Ecency users got disappointed with the change on the awarding of the #Ecency Weekly Engagement Leaderboard by Melinda, it at least gave better chances for active users that are between Top 11 to 50 on the weekly leaderboard to win (which is a 10% chance to win 4 HIVE and 500 Ecency Points for being within the Top 50). 🧘‍♂️🤓

It looks like the #Ecency dev team members responsible for the #Ecency Engagement Leaderboards simply count the number of posts or comments published by an Ecency user for the leaderboard ranking without taking into account the length of (and delays between) posts and comments !INDEED. 🤯🤓

About half a year has passed since Melinda and some active #Ecency users noticed that some other Ecency users shot up to the top of the #Ecency Engagement Leaderboards quickly even with (very) short and similar comments, and nothing still apparently changed on how Ecency engagement leaders are displayed. 🧘‍♂️🤯

I think that Melinda could use (better if from the Ecency dev team) a script which determines the average number of words (or characters) on the comments of the Top 10 users on the #Ecency Weekly Engagement Leaderboard such that users with very low averages won't get prizes, !INSTEAD of changing the way winners are selected. 🧘‍♂️🤯🤓

Didn’t hear about that one yet indeed…
I did write some scripts to make the payouts easier, and one of them (the publicly available one ;-) ) is https://hts.botlord.eu
If you say “help her be more fair”, is there a problem there now then? I’m just not aware of it..

@tydynrain literally said that he is pretty sure that you have already been in communication with Melinda and that you are already working on a script for her. 🤯🤯

How Melinda awards the #Ecency Weekly Engagement Leaderboard has changed since several months ago because some Ecency users literally post very short comments and rise to the top of the leaderboard so quickly and get the corresponding reward (at least 2 HIVE and 300 Ecency Points for landing on the Top 10 or higher). 🤓

Yes indeed, I saw the issue with the leaderboard as well… Some people started abusing it, spamming all around. Not good. Not sure if this solution is the best way to go, but it did already improve the battle to spam…

I think that given Melinda's options that time, randomly selecting winners from active #Ecency users (within the Top 50 of the Ecency Weekly Engagement Leaderboard) was what was probably the best choice then to make the awarding more fair (or more accurately, less unfair). 🧘‍♂️🤯🤓

I think that in general, any contest that exists will have some people trying to take advantage of it, so the contest hosts should probably have the responsibility in adjusting their rules for the contest itself to be as fair as possible (to every participant). 🧘‍♂️🤓

It looks like you mean that for a contest to be fair, it should be !FUN. 🤔 That's quite hard to explain, though I could say that if a contest takes too much time from the participants (as well as the audience) just to be fun, then it can be said that it's no longer fair for the people involved !INDEED. 🤯😅
