The Price Of Impatience

Good evening friends. I want to pour out my feelings, maybe I will feel better a bite. My husband is into driving, he owns a bus and has a conductor that works with him. And this guy in question does not know how to drive. But they have been working together for years.

Yesterday, after their days work, my husband had already plan to visit the power supply office to rectify issues we are having with our electricity metre. He packed the bus in a mechanic work shop and asked his conductor to wait for him there.

Unfortunately he left his key inside One of the compartment in the dashboard where he normally keep his own copy of our house key. After my husband left to the power supply office, his conductor search for the keys and kick-start the bus and drove off into the high way. When he got to a U - turn according to him, he wanted to apply the breaks, only for him to accelerate and he collided with another on - coming vehicle on a high speed and it resulted to a terrible accident, involving three vehicles, including a police vehicle.

He was whisked away immediately by the police to the nearby police station and was locked up. When they police were taking him to the police station, he called my husband and told him that he had an accident, my husband was like, how? Did any vehicle veered off the road and hit his vehicle where it was packed? He said he was trying to take the vehicle home with out my husband's knowledge. But that was not our plan my husband told him, and besides you can not drive, you do not have a driver's licence, he just off the phone. With that, my husband left what he went for and quickly rushed to the venue of the accident. thank God no life was lost but some passengers in the other vehicle, sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, all the vehicles involved were towed to the police station.

When I receive a call from my husband about the accident I was shocked to the bones and destabilised because that was the major source of our income. Immediately I decided to visit the police station to see for myself the extent of the damage. When I got there, behold the impact on my husband vehicle was great, the windscreen was broken and one side of the bus was severely damaged. On the other vehicle, it was even worst, they sliding door was damaged beyond repair. The glasses were broken, the chassis was damaged too. In fact, when they valued the cost of repairs it was to the tune of one million Naira. And for the police vehicle hundred and fifty thousand naira not to talk about the cost of damage on my husband's vehicle.

The case is still with the police, and the police are planning to arraign the conductor before the court of law.
Now we are looking for a huge amount of money to settle this case, and we all know that this is January when businesses are starting to pick up for the year, and the children are back to school with school fees to be paid, and the money involved is much. Imagine what this conductor has course my family and others involved because of impatience, if he had waited for my husband at most for 20 minutes for him to go and come back, all this problem would have been averted. What a high price to pay for his impatience. !!!! 😭😭😭😭.
