I hope everyone is doing well. After so long, I want to share with you the process of drawing and character creation of this little illustration.

It's about these couple of friends having a cup of coffee, while reading the newspaper and catching up on their lives.

Espero todos se encuentren muy bien. Después de tanto tiempo, quiero compartir con ustedes el proceso de dibujo y creación de personaje de esta pequeña ilustración.

Se trata de estos par de amigos tomando una taza de café, mientras leen el periódico y se ponen al día en su vida.

I had been wanting to start designing children's characters with animal characteristics for a long time.
For the creative process, I wanted to start designing everything in my sketchbook.
I used pencils like: 2H and 2B to start with the initial sketches.

I started to make small anatomical studies. For this occasion I had to start with the bear.

Tenía tiempo queriendo empezar a diseñar personajes infantiles de característica animal.

Para el proceso creativo, quise empezar a diseñar todo en mi cuaderno de dibujo.

Utilice lápices como: 2H y 2B para empezar con los bocetos iniciales.

Empecé a realizar pequeños estudios anatómico. Para esta ocasión tenía que empezar con el oso.

I was performing after several hours. Some expressions of the character. Small tests.
I was using a rather simple drawing blog for these sketches.

I was liking the result and after finishing I wanted to move on to the final character design.

Estuve realizando después de varias horas. Algunas expresiones del personaje. Pequeñas pruebas.

Estuve utilizando un blog de dibujo bastante sencillo para estos bocetos.

El resultado me estaba gustando y después de terminar quise pasar al diseño del personaje final.

For the final sketches, I was using my favorite sketchbook.
Its sheet is super soft and has a super cozy yellowish color....
It is SENFORT brand
With the 2H pencil I started sketching and with the 5B I finalized the design.

Para los bocetos finales, estuve utilizando mi cuaderno preferido para dibujar.

Su hoja es súper suave y tiene un color amarillento súper acogedor…

Con el Lapiz 2H empecé a bocetear y con el 5B finalice el diseño.

Upon completion of the final sketches.
I started drawing on the iPad, the digital illustration.
I started with a fairly thick brush with black ink.
I did some fairly quick but understandable sketches.

Al terminar con los bocetos finales.

Empecé a dibujar en el iPad, la ilustración digital.

Empecé con un pincel bastante grueso con tinta color negro.
Hice algunos bocetos bastante rápidos pero que se pudiera entender.

After having a quick sketch with the idea quite clear, I started to make the final outline to start with the tinting.

Luego de tener un boceto rápido con la idea bastante clara, empecé a realizar el delineado final para empezar con el tintado.

I decided to go for a walk to clear my mind. It is important to learn to stop and rest. To do something different so as not to saturate the mind or get into anguish.

It has happened to me that I spent hours doing a particular activity. And after a while my mind starts to cloud and then things start to come out the way I don't want them to.

The sky, one of my favorite parts.

Decidí salir a dar un paseo para despejar la mente. Es importante aprender a parar y descansar. Hacer algo diferente para no saturar la mente ni entrar en angustia.

Me ha pasado qué pasó horas haciendo una actividad en concreto. Y luego del tiempo la mente se me empieza a nublar y luego ya las cosas me empiezan a salir de la manera que no quiero.

When I got back, I started to ink the illustration and finish the details.
I used cold tones, colors like purple and brown, which are the ones that most took over the characters.
I used textured brushes to give that feeling of traditional art. I loved the result!
I loved working on the design of these beloved characters.

Al volver, empecé a tinturar la ilustración y terminar con los detalles.
Utilice tonos fríos, colores como él púrpura y el café, son los que más se adueñaron de los personajes.

Utilice los pinceles con textura para dar esa sensación de arte tradicional. El resultado me encanto!
