Pen Drawing Portrait of R2 Metal Drummer

This is my pen drawing for R2 Metal Drummer. First, I draw the sketch. His head, hand and hair are the main focus of this sketch. Then I drew in the eyes and nose. From them, I continue to draw the other hair parts by guessing the right position with lines.
After I got the sketch, I started drawing dedail shades from his head. I filled in the Moustache shades first. My idea for drawing hair shades is this: First, I draw the hair lines gradually from the top to the bottom, creating the most prominent shades. I had to be careful with the areas where the hair and mustache meet.
I continue shading for his shirt and front. His front area is large. So I had to fill the shades full because of I want the dark shades. In pen drawing, the intersection of different directions is key. Pen drawing requires patience, as you have to fill in large areas with small pen lines. I patiently worked on filling in the detailed shades. After that, I write the text. Finally, I finished my pen drawing.
